1979 Triumph Spitfire You are bidding on my 1979 Triumph Spitfire- I have owned and enjoyed this car for the past 5 years. This car is in really nice shape for the age and needs an owner that is going to take care of her. The car has been used very little in the 5 years I have owned it. It was only taken on short trips on sunny days. The little triumph has original 59,036 miles on the clock. I have always garaged it and it appears the previous owners did as well. The top is in pretty good shape not perfect, look at the pictures. I am also including the top boot cover as can be seen in some of the pictures. I had the carb rebuilt last year and now the engine runs and idles smoothly. Although the car is in nice shape it does have the usual finicky British car quirks. Sometimes the wiper switch is hard to turn off. It may need a new battery as I don’t know how well it holds charge anymore. The paint shines very nicely as can be seen in the pictures. You will also notice that there are the usual small dings, chips and scratches (It is 32 years old). There is a small of rust starting to form on the lower rocker corners look at the pictures. It’s not bad but feels I should mention it. In my opinion this is a very nice condition Spitfire, it would not take much work to make this into a A1 condition Spitfire.
