Vehicle Detail

I am letting go of my edsel. The family needs a camper to do more things togetther. This is a 2dr ranger hardtop. The car is an original and only has 49400 original miles. original dash and carpet, the headliner has been redyed but is still solid and still hanging good and tight. The seats I beleive were recovered, because from my research, they are missing a cloth insert that should maybe be there, but even I did not know myself untill I did some research. The seats are in great shape. All the glass is original with no cracks or chips. The trunk area has a piece of house carpet in it , but underneath is the original trunk mat. The original side trunk trim is still there. I have owned the car for a little over a year. The previous owner about 6 years, before that the owner had it for over thirty years. The car runs good. The previous owner put a new carb on and the old is in the trunk. The car has the 361 super express engine. This was the largest engine available this year. Also it has 3 speed automatic trans. The car has a rust spot about the size of half of a dollar bill behind the front tire. I dont know if the car has been painted or not. The previous owners have both said that they did not paint it, so if it has it was done over 35 years ago, but still looks good The engine runs good, but has a few exhaust leaks( minor). I just put new plugs, wires, and coil on. Vacume is around 18-20 pounds and steady. I also have a modern electric fan to go on the radiator for cooling in traffic.( have not installed yet). The car needs a new gas tank. holds up to half way. The seam leaks. The radiator has a small weep in the upper passenger side corner of the radiator when the car warms up. This car does not leak any fluids, oil or trans. The car has no puddles or drips where it has been parked. The body is in great overall shape. The previous mention of the rust, the hood has a bend in it on the drivers side from a tight hood spring. The car car does have scratches and some VERY lite surface rust in a few spots( smaller than a dime). ask me for more details. again, very small. The only reason I said something is I want you to know everything. I will take photos. This car has the original ignition with the original key. Trunk key is newer. I have the original air cleaner and the horn ring. Also have a new ignition switch all in the trunk. the tires are good, 75-80 percent tread.. I am sure I have forgotten something but I will add as I think of it. The car came with the optional dash clock. This is a no reserve auction so the car will sell to the highest bidder. I may be able to help with shipping arrangements. Thanks for looking, if you have a question please ask.I have a 100 feedback so I try to be as forthcoming as I can. If you have any questions let me know. This car is available locally and i reserve the right to end the auction early. The only reason I am selling is the family wants a new camper. If the car does not sell I will not relist again. Thanks for looking The 2010 NADA Guide puts the average condition value at 11,000. the edsel.com website considers this model "collectable" with a v8 engine . class 3 is valued at 8900-9500. this car is solid, drivable and in good original condition. Frame and undercarriage is solid .The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to stop the auction at any time.
