Automatic transmission with 6 Cylinder, 3.8 L engine. This was the first year that the convertible Mustang was reintroduced, and this car is in a rare, special ordered shade of deep red. The seats, interior, and top are white vinyl. The tires have their original chrome wire hubcaps. The exterior and interior are virtually pristine. We doubt that you can find a convertible Mustang of this age in better condition or with lower mileage. We have been the sole owners of this car, and it has been kept in a garage since it was purchased. The battery is new. The tires are only a few years old and have very little wear. The radio works. All the lights and gauges work. The motorized convertible top works. The vinyl convertible cover is in pristine condition and has the original storage bag. The air conditioner fan works, but the freon needs to be recharged for the AC. The front seats were covered with sheepskin seatcovers for many years, which helped to protect them. Unfortunately, the cover on the driver's seat also left some faint stains on the vinyl, which we have not been able to remove. Otherwise, the other vinyl seats are in excellent condition. The sheepskin seat covers (not photographed) are included for free. The motor for the passenger side power window does not always work well and sometimes gets stuck, although we did get the window to go up and down for the photos. This power window will probably need some work. The engine is in fine working condition. The rubber insulation on the black (negative) battery cord has deteriorated and we have repaired it with electrical tape. The battery cable can be replaced.
