This 1968 Lincoln Mark III Lehman Peterson Limousine was the only one produced. There are no others. This car was made for Texas oilman and developer Toddie Lee Wynne of Dallas. The history of the car is documented through miscellaneous information from the original owner including a letter form his grandaughter to the chauffeur who inherited the car when Mr Wynne died in 1982. This car possesses most Lehman Peterson amenities such as power windows, seats, door locks, power divider window, front and rear A/C which needs work, original mouton carpeting, wool broadcloth seating in both compartments, power antenna and the distinguishing features of the Mark III with the flip-up headlights and the Continental wheel in the trunk, which was hand made by L-P as it was assembled to a Continental trunk lid. The front of the car is 9" longer than the standard limo to accommodate the nose of the Mark III. This is a rare and beautiful car in original condition. It has not been restored. The daughter in-law verified the car was only used by Mr. and Mrs. Wynne to go the grocery store and church and was rarely used otherwise. The car had been outfitted with oxygen tanks as, I am told, both Mr. and Mrs. Wynne suffered breathing problems. This famous car was housed at the Wynne's massive pink mansion in Dallas on Lakeside Drive in Highland Park. The Wynne's were also founders of the famous Cattle Baron's Ball, the largest cancer fundraiser in the US. A remarkable car with a remarkable history.
