Vehicle Detail

There has been questions on the numbers matching. I bought this car in February of 2003 from Auto Investors in Dothan, Alabama as numbers matching. That does not mean every part is numbers matching but the numbers on the block do match. I've also been asked if there is any bondo and the answer is no, however I believe there have been replacement panels installed prior to my ownership. I have a appraisal from Auto Investors but I can't show a copy prior to the auction closing, sorry. I have all the paperwork for parts and labor completed on the car since I've owned it which go with. This Chevelle is built to be driven and has been driven. In the last 6 or 7 years I've completed or had completed the following; rebuilt and balanced original engine by Borchardt Speed Shop in Milwaukee with Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake as well as ceramic coated headers. I've got the original heads, exhaust and intake which go with the car. AED built Holley along with MSD Ignition, aluminum water pump and Miloden oil pan. I have all the paperwork for the build and the original pistons. All stainless steel brake and gas lines along with master cylinder and power boost. It's got a 5 speed Tremec installed by L'Car automotive in Cameron WI. That's mated to a new 12 bolt Mosier rear end with 3:55 gears. The original M 21 and 12 bolt go with the car. It's got a 2" drop spindle and composite springs in the front and boxed adjustable rear suspension and replacement springs. It's running on BF Goodrich TA's on polished 15" x 8" Torque Thrust IIs. The body is rust free but has minor dings and a few defects from 8 years of driving although most were in it when I purchased it. The rear bumper has some defects but I have a new one in the garage which will go with it. The wiring harness was replaced about 3 years ago and all lights and electrical work except for the cigarette lighter. It's got an original AM/FM radio but I had one installed in the glove box so you have the benefits of new without wrecking the looks of the dash. It had a 3 spoke sport wheel on a tilt column and gauge package with tach. The interior is in really good shape but I'd have to say whoever installed it didn't go top of the line. I put in all redone GM seat belts with retractors. The top was replaced about 4 years ago and is almost watertight. I say that because after driving it for an hour in the rain you will get a drop or 2 past the windshield. 2 speed wipers and washers work. Trunk is solid with 3 - 1" holes cut in the pan because I had to get to the body bolts to put better mounts in the rear. Just haven't got around to repairing them. I've taken this car on every Hot Rod Power Tour except 1 since 2004. I just put approx 2500 miles on it in this June's Tour without a single issue. Please e-mail me with other questions but this should give you a pretty good idea of what you're getting.
