1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base! No Reserve!!! For a human being, 37 years is a good amount of time, but to an automobile it’s an eternity! The ravages of time aren’t just from nature. That car is 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow!! The company at Crewe released to the public their most innovative model in October 1965. The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow featured unitary construction, independent rear suspension with automatic level control and disc brakes all around. Compared to previous models the absence of separate frame resulted in more room for the passengers, easier access for stowing luggage and drastically reduced height and weight. Perfect workmanship of all components and a comprehensively equipped interior of unashamed luxury were the hallmark of this fine motor car. About the car: Up for the auction is a symbol of prestige and timeless luxury automobile – 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base. What makes this Silver Shadow so special is that during its course of production there were only 2,276 Long Wheel Base Silver Shadows built, and this beauty is one of them!! Long Wheel Base provides 4 more inches of leg room for the rear passengers over its regular model. This Rolls Royce was special ordered from Rolls-Royce Division Overseas Motor Corporation in Dallas, Texas. It comes with all of its original books and manuals, original owner data card, original tool set, and Original Bill of Sale when it was purchased new for the amount of over $40,000 back in 1975!!!! It has only 2 owners, and its first and original owner had it until 1996. Two Tone Blue paint has a beautiful shine and luster, and with the exception of few small scratches it looks like the day it left the showroom floor!! Chrome is in excellent condition, it is complete and new looking, and this beautiful Rolls Royce is a head turner and conversation piece everywhere it goes. Since this Rolls-Royce has been Texas and Florida car its whole life, car is in very nice and solid condition. Body is very nice and straight, and all body panels align nicely and correctly. Doors, hood, and trunk lid are all operating with ease and all glass is complete, clear, and without any cracks. Its Navy Blue interior is in beautiful condition, showing its nice aged patina! Carpet is clean, in great shape, and its rips and tears free. Seats are in great condition as well, and are very supportive and comfortable. Wood is beautiful and it is all complete, and once you sit in it, there is no mistake that you are sitting in Rolls-Royce!! It also comes fully loaded with power windows, and power driver and passenger seats and they are all working as they should. Driving this Rolls-Royce is one of a kind experience! You will get the looks, compliments and thumbs up no matter where you go. With only 47,235 miles on the odometer, Engine is nice and powerful and automatic transmission goes through its gears with ease. As it hasn’t been driven and used much in the past year or so, a/c will need to be recharged as it stopped blowing cold. Also there is small exhaust leak, probably on some of the gaskets or the clamps, as whole exhaust system was replaced few years ago. Idle needs to be adjusted (idles a bit too low), but with a good tune up, it will be running like new. Even now after you let it sit for couple of weeks it starts up with no problems. Brakes are good, and they stop this big luxury land yacht with no problems! Just take a look at the pictures, and you will get an idea about the condition of this car, how nicely it is kept, and how beautiful it is.
