THIS EXCURSION WENT THROUGH FULL SERVICE AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN 2009. COMPLETELY REFURBISHED FRONT END (Hub Assembly, Ball Joints, Drag Link, Axle Hub Seals - receipt included), ALIGNMENT, ETC. . . INCLUDING 4WD AUTO SYSTEM WHICH WORKS FROM INSIDE THE CAB IN "AUTO" OR "LOCK" UNLIKE MOST OLDER FORD'S WHERE YOU HAVE TO GET OUTSIDE AND RUN THE FRONT WHEELS IN "LOCKED." 4 NEW TIRES FROM LES SCHWAB IN 2009, TWO NEW BATTERIES NOV 2010, LOW RESTRICTION INTAKE AND EXHAUST PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED BY LOCAL DIESEL SHOP FOR INCREASED MPG AND LONGEVITY -- NO CHIP EVER! I had all this maintenance was done so that this Excursion is ready for anything. I didn't want to be broke on the side of the road during a trip or have my wife stuck in town so it was worth the expense to me. Has worked great for our family and it's ready to go for yours. We're just downsizing. I've down all the work/spent the money. We need out of it so my loss is your gain. Jump in and drive across the country (and enjoy great MPG for such a large truck). Several Questions I've been asked: Purchased in July 2009 with 177K miles now two years later it has 205K. That's 14K a year which is about right. Never towed with it just used as a family car. Previous owner claimed he never towed with it and based on how it drives, I have no reason to doubt it. I took it to the dealership and basically gave them a blank check to go over it and "fix whatever needs fixing." They did quite a bit of work ($$$ - see above), but said the engine and trans were in great shape. MPG, we've had the thing full with 8 people, luggage, etc... on road trips and with the cruise set at 65mph we get about 21MPG. No problem with I/M in California, it is a NON-CATALYTIC converter vehicle, says so right on the factory emissions sticker under the hood. A couple small nicks here and there (see pictures), but it looks nice. Please have funds ready. I'll take whatever type of payment you prefer, but it has to clear the bank (usually 10 banking days) before anything leaves my property. Buyer responsible for pick-up/shipping. No warranty. Yes, I'm the second owner (one of the reasons it scores so high on the background check even though it has higher miles- compare to some other low scorers on ebay due to multiple owners, wrecks, etc...). 21mpg on the highway is verified by taking the gas receipt and dividing the miles by the gallons, no funny GPS estimates or trip computer exaggerated claims. Sometimes, we've gotten a little better up in the mountains, but average on the hwy MPG is 21 +/- 0.5 and you can just about guess how many gallons it will take at the pump by looking at the mileage when you pull in to the station. Yes, it's worse in town. The truck is here in Oregon where we live, it has Alaska plates/title because I'm active duty military and our state of residence is AK, but as you can see by the carfax it has lived it's life in ID and OR so no salt on the roads. If anyone can think of anything else, don't hesitate to ask, I'll post answers as I get questions. Like the truck, just need to downsize. Hope it finds a good home.
