Vehicle Detail
Up for auction this week is a fine example of a 1969 Buick Riviera GS model. The car sports a 430 4bbl engine with an Turbo 400 transmission. Both are matching numbers for the car. I purchased this car about 6 months ago from the orginal owner who was elderly. This car is HIGHLY optioned and is in amazing running, driving, braking conditon. The car was just resprayed in the factory light Blue with a Basecoat/Clearcoat finish. The body shop did an amazing job on getting the car straight and applied a gorgeous paint job to be proud of. The car still could use a color sand to get out the minimal texture that is still in the finish. Once wet sanded the car will look even more amazing. The interior of the car sports bucket seats with a center console shifter. The car has AC, power brakes, power windows which all work perfectly, power steering, door locks and trunk release. Car has a AM/FM radio which works, as well does the power antenna. The is a 8 Track tape player which does work, but is finicky. The headliner is in great shape and all the lights work inside as well as brake lights and headlights and license plate light as well as the reverse lights. The vacuum operated headlights DO WORK and they work well EVERYTIME without fail. There is a Speed Warning alarm that still works when set to desired speed. The driver seat inside will need reskinning, but the passenger and rear seat skins are in great shape. The door panels are in incredible conditon and the car sports a nice set of Buick floor mats. The rug is new and there are no funky smells in the inside of the car. There are chrome trim that isnt on every Riviera, but the GS models had this trim package ordered. They are chrome and in incredible shape. NO dings or scratches on the trim. The bumpers on the car are straight and still have plenty of chrome shine left. This car must have been garaged its entire life due to the cars lack of sun damage. The vinyl top is stock and still is in great shape. There is one or two very small imperfections on the top towards the rear area. The rims and tires on the car in good shape and the car has the factory ribbed center caps for a GS. The spare is a factory rim as well. The tires ride fine, but at around 95 MPH, they start to wiggle alittle due to age Im guessing. You can drive this car with ONE finger down the road. When you brake, the car stays straight and doesnt jerk into the other lane. It drives true down the road and is a pleasure to drive. I get ALOT of compliments everywhere I drive it. I will answer an and all questions you may have on this car and would be glad to email you any photos that you may need to give you peace of mind. Here is my phone number to get a hold of me, 425-454-6629. I will return ALL calls, but I am a single father to a 7 year old boy, so he keeps me busy since school is out. The car is As Is condtion. There are very few things that the car will need. Its missing the center console lid. I bought the car like that and I tried to find one but came up empty. The trunk is in nice shape but the factory cardboard inner panels are alittle worn. They are there, but are not perfect. Also the trunk is missing the spare tire cover, which is usually press board. I do have the owners manuel and shop manuel for the car that came with it when I bought it. This is a rare chance to own one of the nicest 69 GS Riviera I have seen in a long while. Please be actually interested in purchasing the car prior to bidding. Please ask questions about the car if you are bidding. The last thing anyone needs is to purchase a car on the internet and not ask questions or receiving the car and not be happy. I do not wish to make anyone unhappy with the cars current condition, or lie about anything dealing with the car. Thats not who I am. I just wish to pass on a car to someone who will enjoy the car as much as I have. Thanks for stopping by and checking the car out. Happy bidding. On Aug-09-11 at 14:02:25 PDT, seller added the following information: As 2:00pm Pacific time the Riviera's AC unit was serviced and recharged. This AC blows cold air and makes no werid noises or smells. Also the car has a working speed limiter, which is when you dial in a MPH on the speedometer and the buzzer will go off to alert you to the speed desired to not go over. Kinda neat feature.
