Secondly, I’m selling this beautiful 1963 Chevy Nova Sports Coupe for a very good friend since he doesn’t have a computer or an EBAY account. Don’t worry my feedback is 100% and my friend is a good honest guy. All questions will be directed to my friend. The final transaction will be between you and my friend. Up for auction is 1963 Chevy Nova Sports Coupe with a 65 Nova Front End, 305 V8 Engine, automatic transmission, redone interior, fresh Dupont Chroma Base coat/clear coat paint, 5 lugs all around w/ 16” rims, Ford rear-end, A/C, Kenwood sounds, tinted windows and redone electrical by master electrician. The mileage is unknown. I know what everyone is thinking is this a legit Nova SS. To be very honest with everyone I don’t know. When I purchased the Nova it came with all the SS emblems you see. So this car will be sold as a SS clone. If you're interested in test driving the Nova please email to setup an appointment. Below I prepared a Q&A in hopes to answer any question you may have before you email me. What size engine? It has a 305 V8 Engine. The engine appears to be in good health. It does not over heat or oil burn. I checked the block casting number it appears to be from 1986+ GM. Why does it have a 65 Nova Front End? We are not sure why it has a 65 Front Grill and Bumper. The work done is expectional and fits just fine since these parts are interchangable. How does the Nova run? The Nova runs nicely. The transmission shifts well. It starts up fine at first turn of the key. Is the Nova Salvaged? No Does the car have current registration? Yes. Can you tell me how the transmission shifts? The transmission shifts fine. I see no immediate problems with the transmission. I don’t know the size or model thou. How many miles does the Nova have? No idea of the mileage. I put on a used instrument and speedometer because the old speedometer was frozen. Does the A/C work? No, hose(s) appear to be busted, but it appears to be all complete. What color is the Nova outside and what brand of paint? Top: Black with silver metallic flakes. It has a burgundy strip, and the bottom is an Audi A4 Silver. Dupont Chroma Base with clear coat was used. What is the condition of the exterior paint? The paint is new, but it does have a few minor nicks and very minor surface scratches. The hood has a small paint crack. Was the color sanded? Yes it got a color sand 6/25/11 with 3M products. The color sand is done to bring out the shine. How old is the paint? Not very old May 2011 Do the windows roll up and down? Yes. I lubed all the window tracks and lock mechanisms before installing new door/rear panels. What color is the interior? Black. Do the Doors and Trunk lock with the key? Yes. It has separate keys for the ignition switch, door and trunk. Do the rims rub on the fender since there 16” rims? Yes it rubs very little when you make a sharp right turn only. Do the wipers work? Yes, it features a 2 speed. New wiper inserts. Are the rear seats original Nova seats? They don’t appear to be original, plus they look sun burnt and has light over spray from the previous paint job. Does the car have disc brakes? No. It has drums all round. The drums were adjusted, bled and cleaned recently(May 2011). No shoes are needed at this time. Do the turn signals work? Yes Does the reverse light work? We are working on getting the reverse lights to function with the B&M shifter. The Master electrician might just install a reverse switch on the dash if anything. The reverse lights do turn on when wired directly. Does the glove door open and close? Yes. Key not tested, Does the stereo and CD work? Yes it features a functional Kenwood Fm/AM CD player with 2-6x8 Speakers. Headlights work? Yes Has the suspension had any work done? I never worked or replaced any suspension parts. Its appears to be in fair shape after 48 years. Is there play in the steering gear box? No play. I had the gear box rebuilt 6/2011. Do the seat belts work? I removed the seatbelts it came with when I installed the new carpet. All the parts will be included or installed before pick up. What brand and size are the rims and Tires? American Racing Rims size 16”. Front tires 205/55/16. Rear Tires 225/65/16 Does the heater work? Never tried it I live in sunny Los Angeles. Plus the vents hoses appear very are brittle. Do the dash vents knobs work? They appear to do something when I pull on the knobs, but I don’t use them or know if they work. Does the cigarette light work? Yes, for you smokers. Car is smoke free. Does the fuel, temp, oil and amp gauges work? Yes all the original gauges work as well as the after market ones. Do I need to change the oil/Filter and spark plugs? No, it has a fresh oil(10-40), oil filter and spark plug(June 2011). Does the carburetor stall? No. The carb was rebuilt just a couple of months ago. Nova starts at first try. What kind of Carb does it have? Stock 2 barrel carb. Gas saver! Does the trunk leak water? No it has a new trunk seal. What size exhaust does it have and what condition is it in? 2 ¼ inches. The condition of the exhaust is very good. Is the exhaust load? No, it has a normal sound to it. How old is the window tint? Installed 6/2011. Does the side vent windows open and close? Both sides seem to stick a bit when you open and close. Is there any rust? I did cut and replace with new sheet metal a small piece of rust located on the passenger side foot resting area. Is the gas tank rust free? Yes the gas tank was removed and cleaned out. ***WARNINGS: Neutral Safety Switch is not functioning since it has a B&M shifter and the column shifter was eliminated by previous owner. So the car can start in any gear. Since this Nova is 48 years old it will be sold as is. ******************************************************************************************************** The buyer is responisble for all shipping cost.
