I'm listing my 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SEL 6.9. This car was originally a Candian spec model that was at some point imported to the US. It is rust free and has lived in Texas for most of it's life. The mileage is 158xxx miles. I have owned it for almost four years and it has a strong engine.In the last two years, I have replaced the following itemsTiming chain, tensioner and upper guide railsFan clutchAll five air cellsBatteryTiresNew wind shield and seal It gets regular oil changes at 3000 mile intervals.The car runs strong and fast and I have driven it daily in the past. The front seats have been replaced with MB Tex seats which are in great condition. The dash has cracks but is relatively good shape. It has the original Becker Mexico but it seems to work when it feels like it. The power antenna works.The A/C works very well. It's had a proper R134 conversion with new hoses. It also has the aluminum housed climate control servo. I have never had to top up the refrigerant since I bought the car and it copes well in the Texas heat.The paint is in pretty good condition for it's age. The car is 32 years old and therefore not perfect. The price reflects the condition and while this car is not perfect, it is a good driver.
