Super Clean. No Reserve. A true survivor, up for sale is a 1980 Triumph TR8 that is a local two owner vehicle from Portland, OR. The Triumph TR8 is an eight cylinder wedge shaped sports car that had amazing performance and was often dubbed the "English Corvette". About 2500 cars were produced during the lifetime of the TR8 making it a relatively rare car. The engine in this vehicle is a Carbureted 3.5L V8 motor pushing 133HP in a very small vehicle. 0-60 times were a respectable 8 seconds. Top speed is 150mph (going downhill with a tail wind), but realistically is around 120mph.The original owner of this vehicle owned a British Sports and Repair shop and this was one of his many vehicles. The mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate. These vehicles are not very often seen in this condition for sale. The Midas Gold Metallic exterior is in excellent condition with just a few blemishes. All windows (glass) are original with factory stamps that are shown in the pictures. All exterior trim is in perfect condition, even the decals look new. The bumpers are in very good condition with just one small nick on the front bumper. The convertible top was replaced recently by the previous owner and looks brand new, even the rear window is crystal clear. All body panels have excellent body fit. Headlights operate perfectly and are Cibie driving lights. Vehicle has the original forged alloy 13" wheels including the original full size alloy spare. Tires are like new Michellin X Metric. Taking a look at the engine bay, you can see how well the vehicle was maintained and detailed. All the covers and parts have been polished or painted to retain that new look. Everything is correct and original. The 5-speed manual transmission is shifts smoothly through all the gears, with a tight clutch. The brakes stop evenly with no pull, or pulsating. Mechanically speaking, you will not find anything wrong with the vehicle. Take a look at this brand new interior. The cloth interior was removed and replaced with new vinyl that brings the car to the 21st century. We also had the door panels, carpet, console pads and shift boot replaced or reupholstered. The car has the original crack free dash and the original leather wrapped steering wheel. All the gauges and dials are clear and work correctly. This is a smoke-free automobile. The carpet in the trunk was also replaced and the original jack and toolkit are in place. Take a look at the photos and you'll realize that this is a rust free vehicle, as evident by the battery holder in the trunk. In the early 80's, this vehicle was stolen from the original owner and was recovered two years later. Since the insurance company paid off the original owner for the loss of the vehicle, when it was recovered, the original owner purchased the vehicle back from the insurance company and therefore the title was branded. It was not in any sort of accident or stripped of it's original parts, therefore it does not affect the drivability or condition of this vehicle. 1980 Triumph TR8 Convertible. Super Clean. No Reserve.

A true survivor, up for sale is a 1980 Triumph TR8 that is a local two owner vehicle from Portland, OR.

The Triumph TR8 is an eight cylinder wedge shaped sports car that had amazing performance and was often dubbed the "English Corvette". About 2500 cars were produced during the lifetime of the TR8 making it a relatively rare car.

The engine in this vehicle is a Carbureted 3.5L V8 motor pushing 133HP in a very small vehicle. 0-60 times were a respectable 8 seconds. Top speed is 150mph (going downhill with a tail wind), but realistically is around 120mph.

The original owner of this vehicle owned a British Sports and Repair shop and this was one of his many vehicles. The mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate.

These vehicles are not very often seen in this condition for sale. The Midas Gold Metallic exterior is in excellent condition with just a few blemishes. All windows (glass) are original with factory stamps that are shown in the pictures. All exterior trim is in perfect condition, even the decals look new. The bumpers are in very good condition with just one small nick on the front bumper. The convertible top was replaced recently by the previous owner and looks brand new, even the rear window is crystal clear. All body panels have excellent body fit. Headlights operate perfectly and are Cibie driving lights.

Vehicle has the original forged alloy 13" wheels including the original full size alloy spare. Tires are like new Michellin X Metric.

Taking a look at the engine bay, you can see how well the vehicle was maintained and detailed. All the covers and parts have been polished or painted to retain that new look. Everything is correct and original.

The 5-speed manual transmission is shifts smoothly through all the gears, with a tight clutch. The brakes stop evenly with no pull, or pulsating. Mechanically speaking, you will not find anything wrong with the vehicle.

Take a look at this brand new interior. The cloth interior was removed and replaced with new vinyl that brings the car to the 21st century. We also had the door panels, carpet, console pads and shift boot replaced or reupholstered. The car has the original crack free dash and the original leather wrapped steering wheel. All the gauges and dials are clear and work correctly. This is a smoke-free automobile. The carpet in the trunk was also replaced and the original jack and toolkit are in place. Take a look at the photos and you'll realize that this is a rust free vehicle, as evident by the battery holder in the trunk.

In the early 80's, this vehicle was stolen from the original owner and was recovered two years later. Since the insurance company paid off the original owner for the loss of the vehicle, when it was recovered, the original owner purchased the vehicle back from the insurance company and therefore the title was branded. It was not in any sort of accident or stripped of it's original parts, therefore it does not affect the drivability or condition of this vehicle.
