Let me start off with saying that I am by no means an expert on these cars. This roadster is mostly complete. It starts, runs, and drives. However, the breaks need to be looked into. It will need to be trailered. I do not have the title so its being sold as-is with bill of sale only. My understanding is that since these cars are so old, they are normally out of the system and therefore a simple lost title form usually get the DMV to issue a new one. In the course of examining this car with my limited knowledge here is what I have concluded: Based on the frame VIN# the car is Model: Datsun 1600 Sports Model Year: 1967.5 Production Month: Mar.-'67 To Sep.-'67 Engine: R16 1595cc (1.6L) OHV 96bhp (5 main bearing) Transmission: 4 speed, Servo Synchro (Porsche) type Final drive: 3.90 : 1 Drive: Left Hand Drive Steering: Worm Gear (Type A) Brakes: Dual Circuit, Front Discs, Rear Drums Body Style: 2 door convertible. Low windshield. Large fender flares Interior: Flat dash, 5 gauges Now when you look at it, its clearly a high windshield car, which means the tub has been replaced. Examining the markings (absence of side markers, rear bumper, etc) it appears to be a solid no rust 1968 tub. Realizing that if the dash was replaced (I assume when the tub was) this should give us info on the body of the car. High windshield. Large fender flares Interior: Impact safety dash Its been painted a nice red color, but could use a compounding, clay and waxing. It has a set of nice period wheels and tires. There is a 160mph speedo in there so...
