Check out dozens of High Resolution photos at the following address: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23473640@N08/ Here is a stunning 1970 CB750 K0 in Candy Gold. Make sure to look at the link above for pictures because the pictures on ebay don't do this bike justice! The pictures on Flickr are a testament to how beautiful and original this K0 really is. I purchased the bike from the original owner who bought it brand new off the showroom floor in 1970. I spoke with him over the phone a few times before driving to Ohio to check it out and try and work out a deal with him. He assured me it was mint, but I had my doubts. I drove the 6 hours to his house and sat down with him for a while to have coffee before even seeing the bike...but I was pretty anxious to go see it up close. The bike was stored in his walk out basement (climate controlled) for it's entire life! We walked downstairs and wheeled it outside and his description of it was pretty close to spot on! It was a beauty. I was drooling over the bike and immediately wanted to take it out for a spin but the gas lines were cracked and leaked gas as soon as we turned the petcock on. I bought the bike without hearing it run because after looking inside the carbs and checking the compression, I knew it was going to start and run with no problem. I loaded the bike up and headed home...considering myself very lucky to find a K0 with this low of miles, original owner, and in this amazing condition. When I got it home, I put fresh gas in the extremely clean tank, replaced the fuel lines and cleaned out the idle and main jets of the carbs. Key on....choke up....start button....INSTANT START! And running amazing! What you see in the pictures is an all original bike in original paint and original ducktail seat! What a beauty! This K0 starts instantly and runs smooth right at idling a hair below 1,000 rpms. It is not leaking, smoking or puttering and sounds beautiful. Engine number: CB750E-1037996 Here is a short list of the parts and their condition: * Original Ducktail Seat (Unbelievable condition with original foam that is not sagging, no rips in the original soft and pliable upholstery and no rust in the pan) * Original HM300 exhaust with baffles ( No rust through anywhere, some pitting and a little bit of surface rust on the inside of 2 pipes) * All original paint (no major scrapes but a couple of very small chips as pictured. The tank has a couple of very very shallow impressions that can easily be removed by a paintless dent repair specialist, I just don't know anyone I trust to do that on original paint so I let them be.) * Wheels are in good shape with a little bit of pitting on the chrome. They are true and ride perfect * Brand new battery * Gauges look good. A couple of the jewels have some hazing on them, but they are there. No fading on the face plates. * Brakes have been inspected front and back and all pads look good. * Tank is rust free inside * All electrical works with original wiring * Frame is nice and clean (a couple small places of surface rust here and there) * Tires show some age, but ride fine and haven't lost any air * Carbs are the originals with original K0 1-to-4 throttle cable. * The motor itself is very clean, the covers have not even been touched, they would polish out great, but that is a matter of preference and I didn't want to even touch them with polish. Mechanically and cosmetically, this bike is in amazing shape and will make for a great investment and these are getting harder and harder to find in original condition. There have only been two K0's sold recently on ebay and they sold for $10,100 and $16,999. I have the links at the bottom of the page for you to see the comparisons. My bike is nicer than the blue K0 that sold for $10k and has less miles, but not as nice as the red $17k K0. I know what I have, and I know what it is worth. I'm moving on to other ventures and I'm looking to sell this bike to fund some world traveling I have always wanted to do. You are more than welcome to set up a time to come check it out in person or send someone to inspect it for you before bidding but there will be absolutely no free rides without a hand full of cash...I just can't risk it. The bike is for sale locally for $9,800 which is a bargain to say the least. I am more than willing to ship worldwide as long as you contact me first if you live outside the US. I will hold and assist with shipping, but obviously won't release the bike until payment is made in full and has cleared my account. I have a clear Indiana title in my name. I had a vintage motorcycle mechanic take a look at it and he told me that the cable is the original one and will probably need to be replaced or possibly lubricated. The bike is still running just fine, the throttle cable just won't go to full throttle very easy. I will purchase a NOS 1-4 throttle cable and have it included in the auction so it will be set to go. Also understand that this IS a used bike. There are small imperfections as listed in the original description. It is not a perfect show bike. If it were, it would be selling somewhere in the $15k range. On Aug-05-11 at 11:58:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Throttle cable just needed adjusting! It's working perfect now...
