Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD w/automatic transmission. The car has only 69,300 original miles and it shows. It is in very good shape considering it's 20 years old, and is easily one of the cleanest DSMs you will find on the road. Since I have owned the car everything has been very well taken care of. I have been into DSMs for 10 years and none of this is new to me. All maintenance has been taken care of less than 15k miles ago. This includes all engine parts(timing belt/tensioner, oil pump, water pump, etc), belts, hoses, fluids, gaskets, battery, alternator, brakes, rotors, etc. Everything in the engine bay has been replaced and nothing needs to be done to this car to stay reliable. I have been driving the car off and on so mileage will go up a little over time. Car starts and runs on the first try every time and it purs like a kitten. The inspection was done just a few months ago without an issue. A recent compression test gave me 140(#1), 145(#2), 140(#3), 145(#4). The interior I would rate at a 9/10. The carpet and floor mats are in like-new condition with no visible stains or wear marks. The dash has an ever so slight 'dash peel' that the 1Gs are known for, but certainly isn't bad. Three of the four leather seats are like new, the exception being the driver seat which has wear on the outer boulster. The exterior I would rate a 9/10. Easily one of the straightest 1Gs you will find on the road. The paint is still glossy with no clear coat fade anywhere on the car. There is no rust anywhere, including under the chassis. The only real flaw would be that there is a small crack on the bottom of the front bumper, which isn't noticeable from even 5ft away. The car has been tastefully modded as you can see from the mod list and there isn't a single thing that has been 'hacked' like you will see with so many DSMs nowadays. Very clean, very tasteful, and runs solid. I currently have it tuned at only 14psi, and considering the stock exhaust is on the car, it isn't very fast. There is an issue with what seems like the torque converter. The car has zero issues starting and running but has recently given me an issue with what seems to be the torque converter. It seems to have a lagging feeling to it that is hard to explain. The transmission fluid is clean and has been changed when this problem surfaced about a month ago. The transmission itself shifts 100% and seems not to be the issue. There is a small chance I may have missed something but my guess is that it needs a new torque converter. I have checked every and all sensors, TCU, ECU, spark plugs, plug wires, cam timing, ignition timing, compression test, and possibly other things I am forgetting. I had numerous cash offers of $5k for this car and had turned them down, but to be 100% honest I'm getting sick of working on cars and I just need it to go. My loss is your gain on this one. If you have any questions feel free to ask away. I will need a $300 non-refundable deposit within 2 days of sale. On Aug-01-11 at 16:02:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Your standard hacked, beat down and high mileage DSM with the mod list I have would easily sell for $3k. The winning bidder will definitely be getting a great price on this car.
