Selling for a friend, a 1950 Dodge Meadowbrook, Fluid drive,4 door sedan, all complete, all original, runs good, does have surface rust over most of the body, never wrecked, what paint is left is orignial, interior is original, and as ruff as it gets, I have not done anything except brakes,tune up parts, oil change, and a few other minor things so it could and has been driven a few hundred miles in past year or so. the Fluid drive, means " after you use the clutch to take off, when you stop you need NOT to push the clutch in, just brake to stop, and use gas to take off, very different, and unusual. Only made 4 years, not sure if any other exist in this condidtion in the U.S.A. or not,. Has a very straight body, not one rust thru spot, all in tact,dash, all chrome, wheels caps,rings ,etc...etc...I am planing to remove gas tank, to remove rust,then coat it, so the old rust in tank keeps out of gas lines, and carb. Wheel base is 123.5 inches,horse power is 103, torq is 190 at 1200 RPMcompression is 7.0, idles at 475 RPM, quite as a mouse., 6 volt positive ground, orginal parts thru-out.cooling system is 16 qrts., oil for motor is 5 qrts. motor is 230 cubic inches. all gears work well 3 forward, and reverse.The wipers work,the radio hums but probably has a tube out.lights work, signals do not work,possible short, needs paint, and interior,I will be painting and covering seats if I do not get some decent bids within a few days or so. This is as is, no warranty, but my sales in the past should help you realize,I like doing only fair buisness. Believe it to have been owned by aprox 4 people thruout its life...All recent work was done by retired professional mechanics. The fan motor blows,but the paper box is missing from heater box to the firewall, I will replace that it I have time before it sells, nothing has been modified incase some is looking for a 100% numbers matching original classic to play with, other wise it could be rodded out.The oil pan was removed,when we changed the oil for inspection, the inside of the pan was spotless, just black oil, so put on new pan gasgit to stop oil leak. Also rebuilt carb. to stop gas leak, also replaced brakes pads,and wheel cylinders for safe driving.has new battery, new radiator hoses,had original radiator re-cored and painted with heat reducing paint.Has new current tags, and have old plate as well. Generator is original,and works fine. comes with a few extra parts,fuel pump,etc..have orginal gas cap too. All glass in tact,no cracks,all trim in tact,some pieces have slight creases. 6 cylinder is a 3.8 liter and all orginal as well. All that being said, it is a 1950, and not perfect, starting bid at 100.00 dollars, reserving the right to sell if someone should make an offer I choose not to refuse. If a bidder wins this I will expect a no nonsense payment within 48 hours,, of 25%,and balance within 3 buisness days, by a solid payment form. the car will not leave until it is paid in full.
