Vehicle Detail

This is a 1929 ford model a traditional rat rod that is channelled, chopped (5.5"), z'd and bagged. I started building this car around five years ago and it took me (and friends) around two years to complete. The body, frame and front suspension are 1929 model a which have been highly modified. Brakes are 40 ford backing plates with buick drums (one has two chipped fins and a minor repair that does not affect it's function) The engine is a 1951 ford 8ba flathead which was tore down to the long block and rebuilt with fresh gaskets, new main seals and rebuilt water pumps. Only one carb is connected the others are blocked off the intake is a original old edelbrock. The tranny is a t-98 NOS from 1952 still in the original wood crate! The current heads are mercurys included will be a set of fentons that were recently surfaced and ready to be bolted on with copper gaskets included (theones that are on it in the indoor car show pic. It has 30's style ford headlights with sealed beams. A aluminum radiator covered by a 30-31 stainless 2" sectioned grill shell. Wheels are 40 ford style with firestone whitewalls in the front and radir 8.5" white walls in the back on 10" rims (for the fat look". the steering box is a ford ranger. The dash panel is a 65 mustang with stewart warner gauges. I built the subfloor from 1x1 and covered it with plywood. the interior is very basic and rear is open. The rear end is out of a early 80s ford van and is painted candy apple red with flake the same as the dash (which is signed by travis pastrana). The pinstriping and painting were done by dan shaw and mary beth. The four link, air pump (viair), shocks and battery tray are all chrome. the upper bag mounts and both crossmembers are stainless. The drive shaft protected with two 1.25 tubing ring then aluminum bent sheeting. It has a very nice snap cover that is off white and fits the car perfectly. The rear tail is out of a 60 olds and is pre wired for turn signals but not hooked up. I love this car it is a dream come true but unfortunately i have to sell it. It will turn more heads and get more attention than any other car no matter where you go. It runs and drives good and has been very dependable for me however most parts are 1950 and older so you do have to turn wrenchs on it occasionally. The steering on the car has a loose ratio which i prefer with no power steering this could easily be changed by changing with a longer pitman arm.
