Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a beautiful original 68,000 mile professionally restored 1955 Chevrolet 210 4 door Trophy Winner in India Ivory and Skyline Blue color. Just like the one mom and dad had when growing up as a kid. I purchased this Chevy 10 years ago in its original very well maintained condition. I am the 3rd owner. There were no dents, body damage or rust except for some very light surface rust just inside the back bumper on the sheet medal and some light rust underneath the car. The Chevy looked very good before the frame-off restoration began. The frame-off restoration was performed by a very reputable body shop that does vehicle restorations for folks all around the country. The restoration returned the Chevy to its original appearance. Or should I say better than its original appearance. When you look down the side of the body or across the hoods there are no ripples or waves as you see on many of these vehicles. The body was well prepared before priming and painting. This Chevy has absolutely beautiful high quality paint and finish! The bumpers were professionally re-chromed. All the stainless steel and chromed metal was either replaced or refurbished. The dash was repainted. The engine was repainted and detailed. The seats were reupholstered, headliner replaced, and inside detailed. The colors inside and out are all based on original factory specifications. Mechanically, this Chevy is in excellent condition and has its original engine and transmission. It has the "Blue Flame" 6 cylinder engine. You can easily cruise down the highway at 70 mph. Without all that pollution equipment found on today's modern cars, this Chevy accelerates very good. The engine and manual 3 speed transmission (on the column) operate just as they should. It is a pleasure to cruise in this gorgeous Chevy. All other mechanical aspects work great. The wide white wall tires, to include spare, are new with less than 150 miles. Since restoration, this Chevy has not been rained on and only hand washed when needed. This is a all matching numbers car. This vehicle drives great and can be driven anywhere based on its demonstrated reliability. What does not work on the car? The original tube AM radio and heater (I don't drive this vehicle in bad or cold weather). Options on this car include: AM Radio Bel Air Wheel Covers 2 Tone Paint Wide White Wall Tires This Chevy is a "head turner" and has won 1st place in its class at car shows. That's a four door car in a class with 2 doors cars in a good size car show with judges. That speaks clearly about this Chevy's overall quality restoration. I consider this Chevy a show car but it can also be used as a driver if desired. I invite you to examine closely the details in the photos. You will see what I mean about the quality of workmanship. Bring back those years you remember so well and miss by driving this beauty down your street and go on a cruise. Based on the state of this restoration, this magnificent car is priced to sell. Thanks for your interests and good luck in your bidding. Someone out there is going to get a wonderful 55 Chevy! The lucky buyer may pick up the vehicle themselves or I can assist in turning the vehicle over to a hired transport driver that you independently hire at your own expense. A non refundable Pay Pal deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction closure and the remaining balance in certified funds or cash is due within 7 days of auction closure. I have tried my best to describe this great 55 Chevy to the best of my ability. I may have missed something so ask any questions that may not have been addressed. I may be contacted days and evenings (CST) at (660) 385-7500 or by e-mail at bburse@cvalley.net. I reserve the right to end this auction early due to the auto being offered for sale locally.
