Vehicle Detail

1996 Forest Green Chrysler Town & Country Van (Needs Work, See Below) You're viewing an auction for a 1996 Forest Green Chrysler Town & Country Van. Vehicle for sale by owner, clean title, will sign over title at sale. Sale for the van is 'as-is'. Car is for sale by second owner, this is a 2 owner car only! Seller assumes that the buyer has taken the time to read the listing in full and knows what they're getting. Van does need some radiator work (see below for details), but other than that it runs just fine (though it will overheat if you try to drive it without fixing the radiator, obviously). Vehicle was inspected by pep boys one month ago and their findings are detailed here. Features 168,303 Miles - Engine Rebuilt at 80,000 MilesCar is Registered through November 2011 and has current CA tagsRecently passed last smog less than a year ago with 0 problemsMaintenance kept up, oil change every 3,000 miles, etc...Power WindowsPower LocksPower SeatsSeats up to 7 with pull-out seatsV6 EngineAutomatic TransmissionCD & Cassette PlayerTinted back windowsInterior in near perfect condition, no flaws in seats or upholsteryWater Pump replaced last yearRadiator replaced last year (but needs replacement again, see below) Known Issues Passenger side window goes slow up & downFront passenger side tire is spare - will include tire w/hubcap though for tire replacementNEEDS POSSIBLE RADIATOR WORK - Car will RUN however, the engine quickly gets hot and it is NOT RECOMMENDED to drive except from parking space to parking space under a mile or so. Look below for more details. 'Service Engine Soon' light is ON. However, car was taken to Pep Boys for inspection on 6/10 and they advised that the signal the light gave meant the following work had to be done:Replace Cooling Fan ModuleReplace Electric Fan MotorReplace Radiator HoseRadiator FanGiven the above, I'm guessing that the overheating problem comes from the Radiator stuff not working. If you pour water into the radiator directly, water will trickle out below the radiator on the passenger side of the front of the car. Air Conditioning does not work! Don't know if it needs Freon recharge or new A/C compressor.Small dent on back / trunk door (see picture).Need to open locks with automatic button - if you try to open with the key most times the alarm goes off. Some paint going (see pictures). Terms of Sale Buyer pays $50 or 10% of final bid price deposit within 48 hours of winning auction via paypal. Everything with van's condition is stated to the best of our knowledge - as stated before vehicle sale is 'as-is' and the buyer assumes all responsibility for having read the listing in full.Receipt of pick-up of the vehicle must happen within 10 days, along with the full payment of the remaining balance via cash, money order, or cashier's check.Buyer is responsible for transporting the vehicle to wherever they want it - keep in mind the vehicle will need to be towed given the overheating problem. If you have any questions let us know! More pics forthcoming and if you need pics of anything please let us know.
