1987 Porsche 944 Finally! A great eBay deal on a West Coast late model 944 with Great Body all the basics. ENGINE: FULL POWER Runs Smooth (Possible top end rebuild half way through its life) I drove it home from Las Vegas to Southern California at speeds I cannot mention. TIMING BELT - GOOD Maintenance records show Timing belt, Water Pump Balance Shaft. Belt, V-Belts, Oil Seals, were changed 20, 000 miles ago at 149,552. (See Picture of Repair Record) When I bought the car in June, my Las Vegas mechanic and I opened the cover to look at the timing belt which was in excellent shape. I would still change the balance shaft belt sometime in the next 10,000 mi. CLUTCH – BRAND NEW (If you know these cars, you know just a clutch job costs at least Cost $1300: I've already done that for you!) The car comes with the NEW CLUTCH installed. We are removing the crappy old plunger style 944 clutch disks and replacing it with the spring-loaded disk upgrade. BODY CONDITION - EXCELLENT If you look very closely, you will find only one indentation. The passenger-side mirror needs to be bolted back together. And I recommend you put used mirror glass in from a junkyard in both exterior mirrors. MAINTANEANCE RECORDS - HAVE ALL TIRES - NEW/EXCELLENT PAINT - 98% EXCELLENT Has chips on corner of sunroof. And some little chips around the headlights etc. INTERIOR - GREAT Black on black - easy to replace and never shows dirt. Interior door panels are perfect. Lower Front leather seats have split.
