1979 Jeep CJ 5 1979 Jeep CJ 5 w/ 258 straight six rebuilt and bored over .030, T150 3 speed, Dana 20 transfer case. Motivated to sell - Baby on the way in August. At least one of my toys must go, and this isn't a perfect family vehicle. I have over $18000 in receipts from the previous owner. I never modified it much while I owned it, just routine maintenance. It always started and ran great for the 2+ years I have owned it. Restored about 8 years ago to a very high level. Restored to GOLDEN EAGLE - NOT an original GOLDEN EAGLE. Completely disassembled as described to me from previous owner for paint job- no tape lines on paint. Not a frame off restoration, but very detailed previous owner had it restored, and always garaged - never drove in rain or on dirt roads. I bought it over 2 years ago, always garaged, have however driven in rain about half dozen times and on dirt roads a couple of times - never 4-wheeling. I use it to cruise with family, and occasionally drive it to work - which is 60 miles round trip. It does fine at 70mph - even though it is a 30 year old CJ5. Paint has very few chips and bubbles - but great overall condition. Interior is like new. Everything works except high beam headlights, and horn. Rear axle: Dana 44 from early 70s CJ Front axle: Dana 30 Warn locking hubs, Disc Brakes 258 4.2L inline 6 engine with headers - runs and sounds great, engine compartment very clean T150 3 speed transmission Dana 20 transfer case - shifts very well 2.5" suspension lift 4 33 x 12.50 BFG Mud-Terrain with 15x8 aluminum wheels New carpet Tilt steering wheel Best Top Super Top - great condition rarely used (bikini top as well) Good newer stereo with CD -has remote control and aux input (I never used beyond stereo / CD) Georgia does not require a title for vehicles older than 20 years. I do not have a title. The Jeep is registered, insured, and licensed to drive. I have the bill of sale from the previous owner from when I purchased the vehicle, and I will provide a copy with the bill of sale from myself for this purchase.
