Vehicle Detail
This is a 1946 CJ2A that I recently picked up. The engine and transmission are great. Starts and run really well. Nice sound. 6V system. However when I got it 3 of the 4 wheel bearings needed to be replaced. So that as well as the ring and pinion have been professionally replaced by a shop. Once we got into it we decided to go ahead and change out all the brake shoes, 2 rear drums, new rear brake lines, new master cylinder, and new rear drum hubs. That said, I realized I just don’t think I have the time to turn this great CJ2 into the look-alike MB that I had planned. I already bought four MB repro handles (sides and corners) to mount as well as the shovel and axe accessories (straps, footman loops, and mounts) to mount things correctly on the drivers side. The way I purchased it is pictured in the photos. You can either have the pictured axe, shovel and pick or I can take them off. I was planning on taking them off in the first place so I could change it to the correct mounting. I have also already bought ALL NEW rear seat, windshield to cowl seal, inner windshield seal, rearview mirror, two MB red Reflectors, Throttle Control Knob, boot covers and wheel Dust Caps that will be included. So here it is, I am just trying to get what I got into it now that I have bought all these new parts and had to have the pros install the bearings, brakes, hubs, ring and pinon. Actually I have more invested now than what my minimum bid is. It drives great, sounds great, good body and frame, Green OD paint, has a wonderful PTO winch that works! Some incorrect tools mounted the wrong spots but ALL the new mounting gear to fix them and do it right. I have the receipts for all the work done as well as the parts. If you have the time to do it this it won’t be too hard to finish. But I unfortunately don’t have the time. If you have any questions or are interested in it feel free to ask any questions you may have.
