Relisted.....and I lowered the Buy it Now and Lowered The Reserve!!! 1992 Geo Metro Convertible with low miles. I bought this car on E-bay in March of 09. I went to Orlando, Florida to pick it up. The party selling the car had a car fax certified 57,000 original miles on it, and I was looking for a low mileage metro convertible to pull behind our camper. The previous owner told me it had sat in storage for a number of years and it does have a Sun cracked dash to prove it. He had a dash cover made for the car and it looks great. As I left Orland, to drive home, the exhaust was loud so I stopped at an exhaust shop and had a new exhaust installed. about 200 miles out of Orlando, one of my front tires blew out so I went and had new tires installed on the front. The tires looked good so I asked the tire guy what happened and he told me they were dry rotted from sitting in storage, which verified the previous owners claim that it had been in storage. last year I had a new top installed, at a cost of 800 dollars, as the back window had started to fall apart. I have put 6000 miles on the car since owning it and the car runs excellent. It is very fun to drive and I have averaged 41 MPG. The car looks great, although it has a small dent in the left front fender, otherwise perfect. It drives perfect. You will not be disappointed in this vehicle, and it will save a ton in fuel costs. Feel free to contact me with any questions about the car. A car with this fuel economy and in this good of shape are hard to find. The only known issues with this car are... It has factory installed A/C that does not work. I took it to the shop and he told me it needs a new compressor. I just put the top down and drive without A/C. Second is the passenger door. The handle inside broke off. It opens fine from the outside, and opens with some effort from the inside but it needs a new handle. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
