Vehicle Detail
1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Numbers Matching Power Steering And Power Brakes: I'm selling one of my finest members of my personal car collection. I acquired this Chevelle from the forth owner . Chevelle's in this original condition with numbers matching drive train have become non-existent. I have lived in the Northwest most of my life and started collecting cars well over thirty years ago and always try to purchase car's from the Northwest. I will branch out at times and purchase a car from California or Arizona to add to my collection. This Chevelle was purchased new right here in Portland, Oregon at Frank Chevrolet on December 29th, 1966. Other than a brief move across the bridge into Washington State, she's resided here In Portland, Oregon all of here life. As a lifetime lover and 30 year collector, I have a passion for all original car's with local Pacific Northwest history. I prefer knowing where my car's have been and what kind of of lives they've had. This is truely a wonderful car. She's rust-free and powered by her original, numbers matching 275HP 327-V8. The interior is absolutly perfect, except one very small nick on the bottom of the passenger door panel. The underside of this Chevelle is what we all pray to find. If a picture really is worth a thousand words, I could stop here. Fore those of you that have interest in the full story, here it is. The body and paint are very nice. She has been repainted once since new. Original color was Cream, code TT. She's close to her factory color but now Butternut Yellow. A much more appealing choice. The paint was done nicely. She wears all of her original body panels. This is a very solid car. Trunk and undercarriage are impressive also. Bumpers and chrome are gorgeous. Stainless trim, lenses and emblems are excellent. All glass is clear and in wonderful shape. With only the exception of a couple very small superficial blemishes that are only visible upon close inspection, the car appearance is outstanding. She more than deserves every compliment she receives when I open up my garage and words of praise are common occurance while on the road. This is a car that shows and presents itself extremely well. Just a beautiful all original car in all respects. The interior is perfect and is a combination of excellent original and restored components. One half moon shaped blem on the bottom passenger door panel is the only flaw. The dashboard is spectacular. The brightwork and all the trim is excellent. Every light, gauge, wipers, heater, horn, ect, are in perfect working order. The factory AM radio is the only exception and is currently not working. The condition of the interior is obvious the second you look inside, I have never seen such a nice original dash. No excuses to make or stories to tell. The mechanical of this car would be difficult to improve on. The drivetrain was completely gone through and is in excellent running condition. It starts perfectly (warm or cold), idles perfectly( you can not feel this car running at a red light), you can hear the nice mellow rumble as she waits to accelerate. The original numbers matching 275HP 327-V8 functions like new. The transmission operates like new as well. Shifts are smooth and crisp, even the kick down for the passing gear works properly. The rear end is church quit. Factory power steering and power brakes. The rally wheels are correct 1967 vintage and are in mint condition. My passion for cars has been life long and I have owned my share of classic cars, in all of that time I would have to say that one of my favorites to drive is my 67 Chevelle hands down. The feel of this car while driving her is nothing short of amazing, and the attention she brings is just plain fun. There are no rattles, squeaks, vibrations or looseness of any kind. Bumps in the road feel like your in a 2 year old vehicle. No secrets, no quirks. Just turn the key clockwise let her fire up and go have fun meeting new people. The nicest running and driving car from this era anyone will ever sit behind the wheel of. This is the one car my wife is having a hard time with me selling, she enjoys driving her, maybe it's the attention thing. My opinions are a source of pride and I stand behind them but please keep in mind that these are my personal opinions and my differ from your own. I welcome showing the car in person during the auction to anyone with genuine interest. She will also come with the original owners manual and protecta plate, original steel wheels painted to match the butternut yellow with dog dish hub caps. You can change her appearance by changing the wheels around on her. Thank you and good luck bidding
