MECHANICS SPECIAL. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT PLEASE DON'T CALL. NO YOU CAN NOT DRIVE IT HOME. BUT THE ENGINE IS NOT BLOWN. IT NEEDS THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONERS DONE. This is a nice LOW MILEAGE (128K Less than 10K per year) 1998 Jaguar XJ8L (Long Wheelbase like the Vanden Plas) It is Titanium Metalic (LGL) with Oatmeal leather (AGD). The body is nice with a few dings etc as should be expected for a 98. The right front fender was slightly dented (in 2010) and has been popped out. nothing major. The interior is in very good condition for a 98 and it is fully loaded. The RARE factory chrome wheels (10 Triangle) are in great shape and it has excellent tires. The Engine NEEDS THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONERS DONE. so NO you can not drive it home and NO it is NOT blown and NO it does not appear that it would have any bent valves because the timing chain has NOT broken but I do suspect it may have jumped one tooth. It did start the other day but stalled out in about 30 seconds and ran poorly. The engine is SOLID and will be great after you do the work. Transmission is great as well as the suspension and brakes are excellent. THE TIMING CHAINS ARE NOT BROKEN. IT APPEARS NO VALVES ARE CURRENTLY BENT. THE ENGINE IS NOT BLOWN. DEFINITELY BAD TENSIONERS THERE ARE NO B.S. DEALER FEES OR PROCESSING FEES OR ANYTHING ELSE. WHAT YOU BID IS WHAT YOU WILL WIN THE CAR FOR. The car can be delivered to a local transportion yard for a fee of $100.00 (that goes directly to the towing people and not us).
