Vehicle Detail
This is the 3rd time I have relisted this car. DO NOT BID TO WIN IF YOUR FINANCES ARE NOT IN ORDER AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY AND PLAN TO PAY FOR IT!! Up for auction is my 1976 Carousel Red Pontiac Trans Am. I purchased this car last year from the original owner whom got to old to drive. It has 86,000 original miles and has never been wrecked or repainted. The car runs great and drives like a new car. Hardly has any squeaks or rattles in it and the suspension is tight like new, very fun car to drive. The original 400 motor does not use oil or have any leaks. The transmission shifts great and also has no leaks. Neither have been rebuilt or gone into. There is a new flowmaster exhaust system which has recently been installed and has a great sound. The A/C actually works but has a small leak somewhere cause it leaks down over a period of time but does blow cold and work when charged. The interior is super nice in this car. The dash has no cracks in it and is original. The console has no cig burns or cracks in it also. The door panels, rear package tray, headliner and carpet have been replaced due to age wear. The plastic pieces were all redyed to match and the seat cover are original to the car and still look nice. The drivers seat has acouple of small tears in unseen spots. This car was equiped with rear defrost, AM/FM radio and 8 track, PW's, PL's, cruise control and tilt wheel which everything works but the radio. Not sure why but it wont come on, havent tried the 8 track. Its rare to find one that the power locks still work in and this one does, The power windows work great and the motors are still strong. The original space saver spare, jack and inflator are still in the trunk and appear to never have been used. The original trunk mat is also in there. All the lights work, even the back up lights. It had the color matched Rally II wheels which I didnt like so I refinished the Rally's to look like early style ones without the trim rings. The car does come with the original trim rings and they are in excellent shape. The body is super nice on this car with just minor dings and scratches from use but no major damage, no bondo and never been wrecked or repainted. The decals are faded but are original except where someone has removed the original and added a Special Edition Trans Am logo to the front nose. Not sure why. The paint still looks beautiful and has a nice shine to it but like I said does have some minor dings and scratches in it here and there, not perfect. The trunk springs are good and strong on it and so is the hood springs. The door hinges do not sag and the doors shut great. The car was zbared when new and the ONLY rust this car has is in the drivers corner of the dash where the windshield must have leaked at one time. I have a replacement piece that comes with the car to fix this corner when you replace the windshield which is cracked. The lady I bought the car froms dog decided the front and rear bumpers looked tasty so he chewed a chunk out of both of them as you can see in the pics. They are repairable but I have purchased from a 76 Carousel Red parts car new front and rear bumpers that will come with the car if the winner decides they want them. These bumpers cannot be put in the car for transport so you will have to figure out how to get them home if you choose to have the car transported instead of picking it up yourself. This is a super nice car and I am offering it at a great price. You cannot build one to the quality this one is at right now for cheaper than the reserve price. I hate to see it go but to many projects and I need the cash for a shop building for my other project. So please no trades. If you have any questions or want other pictures of the car please feel free to ask anytime. I am more than happy to answer any of your questions about the car. You can call me anytime on my cell phone 318-348-4626, my name is Joe. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime due to having it for sale locally. Buyer is responsible for pick up or delivery. I do have a clear title in my name and will not release the title or car until full payment is received and cleared. A $500.00 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24hours of the auctions end, with the remaining balance due within 10 days of the auctions end. Payment can be made by electronic transfer or cash.
