1987 Suburban selverado 2500 4x4 cummins diesel 5 speed manual transmission! I purchesed this truck in 2004 with a blown 6.2 N/A diesel and TH400 auto in it. I did the conversion my self over the next few months. And have been adding things over the years. This was the perfect truck for the conversion becouse it was a 2500 4x4 with a gear venders O/D all ready installed. I could not guess at the houre’s I have in this project. With the five speed manuel transmission, the GV overdrive and 4:10 gears it get 22 to 24 MPG @ 60 MPH on the interstate. With it’s 40 + gallon fuel tank I can go over 900 miles with out refueling. (Im going to miss that) I well try to list all the pro’s and con’s to the best of my knowledge. (NOS) not rebuilt Gear vendors overdrive with manual switch on shifter 2 1/2" Dick Cepek lift kit/ new bent springs on front and rear riser blocks/ quade shocks on the front Front and rear air bags with duale gauge and controles in cab. on board air compressor with resavour tank and air chuck to hook hose to. TEKONSHA TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER 9000lbs 2”x2” trailer hitch receiver Isspro tach/ Isspro exhaust temp gages/ and boost hose ran, just need to instale gauge. 2005 dodge 60/40 front seats. With center console new window ruber seals and fuzzys for window tracks custom roof rack. 500lbs + capasaty Rear tire rack that has places to mount two jerry cans on each side of tire. custom front bumper ( old school ) with hole to mount winch custom A/C hose’s Dual batterys Factry securaty tinted windows Oreganile 16” wheels and hubcaps ( missing left front hubcap) LT 265/75 R16 tires about half worn Warn manual lockout hubes installed 2009 CON”S Needs new dash board. Old one is full of cracks. Ariginal carpets coud use cleaning. I was going to replace them. Dent in right rear just in front of taillight. I didn’t notice it untell some one ask me about it.
