Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1985 Mercedes Benz 300-SD, 5 cylinder turbo diesel that can be converted to a bio-diesel. It runs great! We have never broken down with this car in 15 years. It has a sun roof, lots of leg room and a huge trunk. The body is in good shape. The interior shows some signs of wear but that is in good shape also. We have 15 years of maintenance records for service done if you want them. . The tires and brakes are good, it has a new exhaust system, and it has just had an oil and fuel filter change. The mileage is 267,405 and the engine is good for 500,000. We are currently driving it, it is garage kept and we are non-smokers. You can hop in and drive this one across the country. The car is all stock, has good fuel economy and is a very safe car to drive. It is built strong and is a very low maintenance car. We are only selling as we bought a new electric car. We just looked at the vehicle history report and see that there is a minor accident reported. My daughter opened the left side rear door of the car into a school bus. We were parked on the side of the road at the time. There was more damage to the school bus than our car, we had a minor dent. On Jun-07-11 at 05:20:44 PDT, seller added the following information: This car has been shown in Antique Car Shows, it is all original! On Jun-10-11 at 13:57:39 PDT, seller added the following information: This has been my wife's car for the majority of the time we have owned it. This car has not been driven in the rain or snow. The pictures do not do it justice!. We currently have it insured as an Antique Collector's Car and it was appraised at $10,400. Our premium for the year is $190.15. The valve cover gasket should be replaced in the near future. I do have a new one that I will include in the sale. If you want to show it in car shows, it is time for the engine to be steam cleaned. We are trying to downsize as my last daughter is graduating from High School, that is the main reason we are selling.
