Vehicle Detail

1963 R50/2 Conversion (with /6 motor) This is a correctly done conversion-- best of both worlds in my opinion. /2 frame with a /6 engine-- looks like a /2 but has the longevity and serviceability of a /6. 1963 R50/2 frame with stock gussets and the minimum modifications needed to fit engine. R27 front fork down-tubes (which clear the front engine cover with no modification), /2 front swing arm. All new black powdercoat on frame, fork, swing arms. Front double disks (new at build) with re-built Brembo calipers (from early K100), /7 handlebar master cylinder, /6 handlebar controls, /2 headlight bucket with H4 conversion. 1976 /6 motor with 1000cc Seibenrock nikasil cylinders, Boyer dual-plugged electronic ignition, /6 gearbox and /6 32:10 final drive, /6 rear wheel, modified /6 front wheel with 18" rim. Pagusa solo saddle, custom "breadloaf" pillion seat, 4.5 gallon stock /2 tank with original black paint and white stripes, straight front and rear fenders repainted black w/ white stripes, Epco stainless steel exhaust, SS sidestand, SS nuts and bolts. Hella bar-end signals. Plenty of stop and go power. Great sidecar bike which is why I built it although I never got the car. Less than 10k on conversion. Less than 30k on nikasil jugs. Good Dunlop rubber. Fresh Spectro Gold (+ filter) in crankcase, and fresh 80w90 in tranny, drive shaft and final drive. Also included is an extra /2 front fork and many special tools for working on the bike (like a transmission output flange puller, flywheel holder, alternator rotor puller, etc.) This bike is a lot of fun and runs great. If you like the looks and handling of a /2 but want more power, better brakes and better serviceability, this is your bike. It will sell for a lot less money than it takes to build one (greater than $8000). There is no minimum, so as long as a bid is made, it will sell. I purchased the frame here on eBay (no running /2's were harmed in building this bike). The seller did not have a title for the frame and I never went through the process with the DMV to get one, so the bike is sold without a title, as-is, where-is. I can provide a bill of sale, but that's it. Be sure you understand you're buying a motorcycle with no title before you bid. Most states have provisions for licensing a custom built motorcycle so check with your DMV before you bid. Also, I cannot help with shipping this motorcycle. I do not have a trailer. You must come and pick it up yourself or arrange for having it picked up. It must be picked up prior to August 1. On Jul-03-11 at 05:03:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Sunday July 13:I forgot to mention about the tachometer and speedometer. Both are electronic and made by VDO (purchased and installed new when the conversion was built). The speedo is programmable so it's set up correctly for the 32:10 rear end. Both are black face and the speedo has a digital odometer/trip counter. The housing for the tach is from a R1100. Right now, the tach is intermittent-- sometimes correct and sometimes zero-- probably a loose connection in the housing. I'll open it up in the next day or so and see if I can repair it. The speedo fits the headlight bucket perfectly.
