Production continued through 1980, though export to the US ceased in 1974. The MGB GT sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina and launching the sporty "hatchback" style. By combining the sloping rear window with the rear deck lid, The B GT offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe. This new configuration was a 2+2 design with a right-angled rear bench seat and far more luggage space than in the roadster. Relatively few components differed, although the MGB GT did receive different suspension springs and anti-roll bars and a different windscreen which was more easily and inexpensively serviceable. Rebuilt motor. All gears and the clutch work properly. The ignition system has has been gone through and engine checked. The carburetors were rebuilt with new needle valves, gaskets and a new float. New fuel filter, oil filter. The brakes work has been done new line, rotors, and pads. The brake master cylinder was checked gone through. The tires are like new and show no real wear. The wheels are solid. The emergency brake works properly. There are no oil leaks, New raditator and hoses. Interior The interior is red/burgundy with white piping. The carpeting is good condition some fade in back window area, but the rest of the seat upholstery are new, and the door panels and other interior vinyl/leather seats is in great shape. Instruments & Electrics All the instruments work. Also, the horn, heater fan, new turn signals and lights all work. New 12 volt change over done the right way tack and new altanatator The battery is relatively new and holds a charge. Exterior It is Tartan Red. The paint has some scratches and some dings. The chrome varies: some pieces are good and others are showing minor pitting here and there. The main chrome pieces (bumpers, windshield frames, hubcaps) could be used for a basic driver level car with a little work, as could the grill which does have some ding. A second grill is also included. Frame & Sheet Metal The car’s frame is solid. Both driver and passenger side floors Generally, the car is reasonably straight but as noted, it has little rust in front side that will obviously need attention if it’s to be fully restored.
