72 CJ5 304 3sp. I purchased the jeep from the original owner in Arizona. The engine was rebuilt (balanced and blueprinted) with a mild cam 12 years ago with 11,000 miles on the jeep and put into storage after the gentlemen I purchased it from had become ill. The engine has a edelbrock torker aluminum high rise intake, holley 600 double pump mechanical carb and headers. I have since added in the last two months, Flow Master mufflers, new internaly regulated alternator to replace the original external regulator, new plugs and wires, the engine runs great. Transmision is the original manual 3sp and shifts perfectly, clutch is smooth with no slipping whatsoever, original Dana 20 transfer case works great, Front and Rear Differentials both look good, I just installed new Moser axles, jeep has original 427 ratio front and rear. I just serviced transmission, transfer case, and both differentials less than 500 miles ago with Synthetic (Royal Purple) Jeep has original drum brakes front and rear which I have replaced every wheel seal, shoes and mastercylinder, brakes work great for drums no pulling to one side. I was going to do a Disc conversion but after an adjustment and new parts they work really good so I decided to leave stock. I have also just installed in the last month a new 2.5 inch suspension lift with new springs and shocks ( I have the originals that can go with it), and .5" lift greasable shackes with new bushings. I replaced all of the original body mounts with new Stainless Steel hardware and Poly Bushings. 5 New Tires BF Goodrich KM2 33X12.50 with less than 500 miles. New Alpine CD player with USB port. I do not have speakers attached yet, I was not sure where I wanted to mount them and did not want to cut on the dash. New Optima Battery The original owner had an additional gas tank installed, there is the tank under the seat and another tank in the rear factory location. The new rear tank has not ever had fuel in it. There is a switch on the floor to change tanks and a toggle on the dash that will alow the original guage to show the fuel level in either tank. Two new jerry cans on the rear rack for a totall fuel capacity of 39 gallons. The jeep has a full soft top, and a new bikini top I purchased 3 weeks ago. The seats are in perfect condition with seat belts for 4. This jeep is totally rust free, completly solid everywhere including underneath. No dents whatsoever. There is a few pictures of the inner fenders that show how clean this jeep is. For a jeep that has not been restored it is very clean with a totaly rust free frame. Even the tailgate is rust free. The jeep drives straight, steering is tight. ALL gauges work, ALL lights work. Windshield has no chips or cracks and seals are in great shape. The original paint is faded but cleans up good with a few scratches here and there but looks great. I just installed the bars on the side but have included a few pictures of before to show that they are not covering up anything. I just titled and registered the jeep in California so the tag is good until April of next year. Unfortunatly I am relocating for work and have to sell.
