A blast from the past: The world-famous auto customizers at SGS Styling Garage Germany were modifying cars for the rich and famous long before TV shows like Pimp My Ride became popular. I don’t know much about the history of the conversion on this car but I was told there are only seven of these extraordinary cars are built. They were trying to persuade Mercedes Benz to bring this design to the assembly line which it never materialized. How I ended up with this car is a long story and this is not a place to disclose it. The doors and the hydraulic system were working just fine with an exception they were not latching all the way. The moron who supposed to repair the pump made it wors than it was and I don’t know how to work it. Since the doors have to be lifted manually sometimes people grab on the door molding and they pop it out easily. As far as wheels and tire are concern I have installed late model AMG wheels on it but the tires are not new. It can be driven on for a while. Mechanical condition of the car is excellent I had the car ready to make long distance trip which never happened. Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Brakes and all Mechanical are literally like new condition. I just had this car painted last year but there is evidence of paint damaged due to sunburn; I don’t see any other damage and flaws on the body. The interior of the car wood grain, carpeting, seats, headliner and cosmetics are in an extraordinary shape. The plastic sides covering of the seats are intact but dry. It probably needs to be replaced in near future. Frankly the only major flaw on this car is the hydraulic solenoid valves for the door lifts. I don’t mind to pay for the repair or replacement of it if I knew who can do it. I try to explain all the flaws to the best of my ability and I am hoping this does not hurt the sell. By the way this car should have been titled for 1984 but the title is 1983. Please contact me if you need more pictures and information.
