Vehicle Detail
1968 Camaro SS 396 Tribute Car was restored and painted approx. in 2007 It started its life as a small block v-8 automatic 10 bolt rear, standard base model camaro butternut yellow color. I will start off by telling potential buyers about what Ive done in the the restoration, I will disclose all, I am fair and honest and will hide no flaws from anyone. The car first off has approx. 300 miles on restoration, It has a new rebuilt 396 big block, date coded motor to include heads and block 1969 block 2bolt mains, cast on rear 3955272 guestimated horsepower 375 to 400, the heads do match but dont have head numbers without pulling valve covers..heads do have hardened valve seats from rebuild, it does run on pump gas, it has a high lift cam with a livable lope and idle. performer air gap intake, holley avenger carb, electric choke, not hooked up,petronix ignition hei, hooker pro-comp ceramic headers. Transmission is a new B&M 350 automatic with holeshot 10" torque converter 2500stall , the rear end is the factory 10 bolt not sure of gear ratio. It has a quicksliver b&m shifter nicley installed in factory center consil. New houndstooth interior with standard door panels. Car has drum brakes all around with factory booster they work well, new hotchis 1 in. drop springs in front, new multileaf springs in rear, I forgot to mention but I did pull subframe sandblast and paint before putting together. factory ralley green color option for 68-69 camaros. the car has all oem sheetmetal except for front fenders and quarters were not. It has no rust, the trunk floor has minimal rust but net terrible, it does have some paint chips I have touched up I will list pics of, they are on driver door, front valance, hood edge. the car is straight I give it a 8 to 8.5. I have showed it once and taken one second place trohy in camaro class.Wheels are American racing torque thrust 17's with Nitto 255-50-17 rear,225/50/17 front. This is what the car needs, front bumper, marker light l.h side interior pieces, vent ball l.h side kick panel speakerl.h side, stereo just has hole for it. trunk is not detailed has undercoat sprayed in, few rust areas ground out and sealed. has air shocks in the rear that will leak after a week or two ,need pumped up, they will also make a little noise when hit bumps once in awhile. It has a 4 core raditor but will run hot if u let it,typical big block, wipers or wiper motor are not on car but do have them ,passenger side window has a chip out of top of it and the rollers on the track need replace, needs help to roll up tight but works fine up and down, rear tail lamps are from 68 not new.. Please ask any questions car is a good driver, I own and operate a small bodyshop and restore cars for me on the side, it is one of my collection, I purchased in 1999 from the second owner. I am weeding out some of my cars to finance other projects, thanks for looking. shipping is not provided in this sale, I do have the right to end auction early or refuse bids, Payment options are cash and title at sale or bank check that Clear my bank before car leaves. which sometimes can take two weeks or more correct? Like I said its priced fair ask questions thank you for looking..........
