Vehicle Detail
HI--up for auction is my 1977 Caprice Classic Aerocoupe. I bought the car out of my wifes Great Uncles estate.... he special ordered this car and it is a "rare" quote/unquote combo---he ordered it with a 250 cubic inch 4.1 liter STRAIGHT SIX and a Turbo Hydramatic 350 Automatic 3 Speed. The rear end is a 10 bolt non posi unit and has something like 2.73 highway gears--he ordered this too to fight the gas crunch. The car is not a rocket but is respectable and goes down the highway just purring along @ 70 without even breaking a sweat. I bought it because it is a very very solid car and I was going to restore it. The engine/trans combo and the fact that he ordered the wrap around Aero rear window really made this car stand out to me. Well it has been several years and I'm not going to get the chance to fix this car up and give it the respect it deserves. The floors and trunk are very solid---the trunk is almost spotless and the brite white you see is white spray paint he sprayed in there. Car has new exhaust and real good tires, some of the brake lines have been replaced and it runs and drives fine..... I did have the transmission repaired---when I bought the car it had lost forward. The shop I took it too pulled it out, fixed whatever was wrong and stuck it back in. When was the last time you ever saw a Caprice Classic TWO DOOR?? Shipping will be entirely the responsibility of the buyer--I will help where I can. Otherwise you can look at the car or pick it up in Andover CT 06232. Please ask any and all questions---I will answer ASAP Thanks for looking and Good Luck!!! Tony Chevrolet Impalla Chevy 06-26-2011 I added more pics of the underside and the bottoms of the doors... the bottom of the doors is crusty and needs some repair/help but the door skins are not "peeling and flapping" as everybody has asked me. Thanks Tony
