1982 Honda GL500

This Auction includes TWO (2) Pretty much Operational (last I checked when rode them to the storage unit 2 years ago) GL500 Honda Motorcycles. One has the full touring dress (full fairing and all OEM touring bags in nice condition (see Pictures) and 81K miles, the other is a great commuter bike with the windshield and trunks (49k miles). I'm selling them AS IS and the high bidder will have to arrange some sort of transportaion because they most likely will not be able to ride these home safely (since they've been sitting in storage). The transportation will meet me at the storage unit when I'm available (arranged please because the storage unit is 30 minutes away). "The Honda GL500 Silver Wing was a mid-sized touring bike introduced in 1981 as a variant of the CX500 series. The GL500 engine was similar to the CX500 engine, but had the more reliable transistorized ignition system, so that the stator could contain only charging windings, and thus put out more power for operating lights and electronic devices commonly added to touring machines. The GL500 also sported Honda's Pro-Link monoshock rear suspension, and was available both as a naked bike, as well as an Interstate model which included a large factory fairing and hard saddlebags and trunk. This made the Silverwing look like a miniature GL1100 Goldwing. In 1983 the Honda GL650 was introduced, increasing engine power to 60 hp (45 kW). Although the performance of the GL650 Silver Wing was much better than that of the GL500 Silver Wing this model was discontinued in 1984." The brand name was resurrected in 2001 with the Silver Wing scooter. No Batteries/Gas included. Both need some tender loving care and cleaning. But will be nice when finished. Originally, I was going to combine both bikes into one beautiful commuter, but I don't have the time and space now. I'd just like to get them out of my storage unit. Thanks for viewing this auction!
