Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1984 Honda ct110 with a little over 10000 miles on the clock. This is one of the most interesting and enduring vehicles Honda ever built. It has eight forward speeds and can climb almost anything, if you can keep the front wheel on the ground. I bought this bike five years ago to use at my very high elevation place in southern Colorado. It has been a serviceable friend on the road, working around my land and going to and from my favorite trout streams. When I bought this bike, I took it apart and replaced anything that needed to be fixed. I replaced the seat and painted some parts. I was not fixing the bike for show but for my very remote part of the world where the base elevation is almost 11000 ft and the highest points are above 12000. It runs O.K. on the roads at those elevations but cannot exceed 15 mph climbing the long grades of rocky roads at over 10000 ft. On the flat it will exceed 50 mph. Always wear your safety gear. I love this bike but it is time for another toy. The good: These are exceptional vehicles. It has eight forward speeds, clutchless shifting, new tires, new seat, new CDI unit, good mechanical condition, well loved and taken care of. It has a valid title; I repeat, it has a title and is street legal so if you want an 80+mpg cool commuting rig this is it. I have a service manual and extra bulbs, small parts and decals that I will throw in. There is no smoke or oil consumption. It has the spare gas can and a very good carry rack. The bad: It is not a show vehicle, it is a real trail bike; the paint is O.K., plastics are O.K., the lights all worked last summer. The battery is four years old, so I will put it on the charger. If I find it is faulty I will replace it. It occasionally pops out of high gear; this is just a simple adjustment that I have not bothered with. I will be very fair on the reserve price but I will not give it away. I still have some adventures that I can take it on this summer. If you live near Tuscaloosa, Alabama I will be happy to assist you with service on the bike as long as I live. I do enjoy playing with them.
