Vehicle Detail
For auction is a 1964 Chevrolet C10 pick up truck ( 2 wheel drive ). This truck belonged to my grandfather, who bought it new from H&H Chevrolet, in December of 1963. My grandfather passed away in 1996, and my mother inherited the truck from him. My mother passed away last year in May, and the truck now belongs to my father. My father is not interested in keeping the truck. The color of the truck is Seafoam green, comes with the original six cylinder engine ( 230 cubic inch ), which has never been rebuilt. The transmission is a manual 3 speed, on the column. The mileage is 111,730 original miles. Most of the miles are in town, as my grandfather was afraid to drive the interstate, or highways, and was a very slow driver. The truck has been garaged it's entire life, and has never been wrecked, or in an accident. The truck has had all 4 fenders replaced due to rust, ( inner fenders as well ), as Omaha uses salt on the streets, and this was my grandfathers only vehicle. The radiator saddle has also been replaced, and the original wood in the bed has been replaced with a diamond metal plate. The truck runs fine, but may need some carburater work, as it is the original carburater as well, otherwise the engine runs smooth, and quiet. The bias ply tires are in good shape, there is some rust starting to form under the passenger side door ( see picture ). There are a few dings, and small dents here and there, as this is not a mint truck, the biggest ding is on the driver's side door ( see picture ), otherwise the truck is in very nice condition for it's age. Please feel free to email me at dave141@cox.net with any questions, you can also call me at: 402-731-4072, or you can call my father at: 402-733-6534 as he knows more about the truck than I do. I have tried to list everything I can think of, I am sure I missed something. Bidding starts at 500.00, with a reserve price, deposit of 500.00 within 48 hours of auction close, full payment required within 7 days of auction close. The title will be held until payment has cleared. Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up.
