1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Sport
This is a clean 1997 Dodge Ram pickup being sold with no reserve! This truck is nicely equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, intermittent wipers, power windows and mirrors, Leer topper, and chrome tube steps. This truck has the 5.2 liter V8 engine. It runs and drives great with cold air conditioning, brand new tires and brakes, and it just passed Virginia state inspection. This is a no reserve auction which means that this truck will be sold to the high bidder at the end of the auction. Don't miss it.
History
This Dodge truck was built in September of 1996. It was first registered in October of 1996. It was sold to the second owner two years later with 14k miles on it and they have owned it ever since. It was recently traded at our dealership. This truck has a clear and clean title history with no problems to report. It has not been in any accidents and it has been very well maintained.
Mechanical
This Dodge is in great shape mechanically. It runs and drives just like it should. Everything works properly. The engine runs smooth and strong. There are no service engine lights or other dash lights illuminated. The transmission shifts smoothly with no hesitation or slipping. The underside is clean and amazingly free of any significant rust(see pictures). It has 4 almost brand new tires. The brakes are brand new on the front and nearly new on the rear and stop this vehicle firmly without pulling or vibration. The air conditioning blows cold. The steering and suspension are tight. This truck has just been serviced with new oil and filter. It has also been Virginia State inspected by an independent mechanic. The only thing to note is a slight oil leak from the rear of the engine. It is ready to drive anywhere.
Exterior
The exterior of this Ram truck needs some work. The body is fairly straight with only a couple dings and one dent on the front fender, but the clear coat has come off the top surfaces as is common for these trucks. There is almost no rust in any body panels except for one small spot above the rear wheel(see picture) and the rear bumper(see pictures). The bottoms of the doors are where these trucks usually rust first and this truck doesn't have any in those places. There are a few dings and scratches as you can see from the scriptures. I would rate the exterior a 6 out of 10.
Interior
The interior of this truck is fairly nice. There is no smoke or other offensive odors. This vehicle has not been smoked in. Everything works like it should. The drivers seat does show some wear on the bolster(see picture) and the dash is cracked in the usual places(see pictures). Otherwise it is in pretty good condition for the age and mileage. I would rate the interior a 7 out of 10.
This vehicle is Virginia State Inspected and Carfax certified. That is why we have 30 day temporary tags and registration for you to drive home on. We do not sell any vehicle that we wouldn't drive ourselves. As a matter of fact, we often put a couple hundred miles on the vehicles before we list them. We service and inspect every vehicle in our own shop and then thoroughly detail each vehicle. Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic. We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.
Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you. Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment. If you find that the vehicle is not as it was described in the listing you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit you have paid. This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle. If you have the vehicle shipped and wish to return it for a refund you will be responsible for the shipping charges both ways. Your trade-ins are welcome as well.
