This is the rare hard to find "Special" edition with the covered roof! This was purchased by the previous owner in 1965 when he was in 8th grade. He drove it all thru high school. The car sat for years until his son took it to senior prom in 94. After that it sat in a shed until 98 when he installed new tires and then back into the shed. Interior was done in the 60's in red! Body is very solid with the worst part being the floor under the front seat. Slight rust starting at lower cowl but not soft. Slight rust in rear inner fender area where they rust at the bottom, floor is solid. Fenders are all solid with nice beads. LF has had a repair you can feel at the top. Steering wheel is not correct but can be changed back. Photos should tell the story of body. Paint is a 60's Buick blue. Left for Back To The Fifties and did not have time to clean before pictures. Engine turns over and has good compression but did not have time to get running before leaving. If it had been running I would have taken along for the Sunday car corral! Will get running on return. Hydraulic shocks were added front and rear. Miles not actual.... probably 118K. Storage up to 3 weeks no problem once paid in full. Selling because I lost a 53 Ford that I just finished, a 39 Ford Coupe I was finishing and a 31 Model A pick up, not to mention a ton of equipment and tools! Wish I did not have to sell this one! Know of any 39 or 40 coupes let me know, solid body no engine or trans needed! Thanks guys! Will need muffler as the flange where it seals to the manifold has a hole. Will probably need to drain sediment bowl a few times. Seemed to be a little old fuel in it. Drained until fresh fuel came out. All this is to be expected for something that has been sitting so long. I probably described this one too honestly!
