This is a great 2nd owner 1968 Volkswagen Double Cab Pickup truck. The body is in great condition as well as the interior. The is no rust, and the paint is in good condition. The engine has only a couple of thousand miles on it. The engine is not the original engine, it is much better! 1600cc Dual Port with doghouse oil cooler and alternator. It starts right up every time. I do not know much about this VW due to the fact I am selling it for my cousin's sister-in-law. She has owned it since about 1974, it has always been a California kept vehicle, although it was parked in a garage in Washington State for the past 12 years, but never driven. It is complete and has lots of spare parts under the rear seat. Basically there is a brand new wiper motor, some wiper arms, and a whole bunch of rubber molding for the doors and windows. I found a reciept with the stuff that dates back to 1994 and the cost was $794.00. Also included is a brand new but never installed Kenwood radio and 6 CD changer. Now for the bad part, the sister-in-law decided she wanted to keep this truck forever, so during her divorce proceedings 20 years ago, she had it painted a light purple with a grey and pink stripe. Plan on painting the pink stripe if you don't want to be harrased by your family and friends. This truck is in great shape and I would not hesitate to take it on a 3,000 road trip today, it is in that good a condition.
