Vehicle Detail
1967 Sprite. 1275 tuned engine, overall good condition, runs and drives good, fast but not a race car, and reliable. You could use this as a good start for a race car or just drive it as is. Doesn't leak oil (maybe a drop or two now and then) and has good oil pressure 70 cold 55 hot @ 3000 rpms. Currently registered in CT. Massachusetts title, car passed DMV safety inspection last year. About 1000 miles since latest engine rebuild. In 2009, the engine was prepared by APT. Block: decked, bore & hone cylinders. Pistons: re-profiled pistons. Work done on the head: re-profiled combustion chambers, complete valve job. Other stuff, connecting rods, crank re-ground, cleaned up rear scroll-seal hot tanked and crack tested all parts. I did the assembly.Compression ratio 10.6:1Heoplite P21253 pistionsDeves ringsAPT 276 camTitan cam belt driveSwiftune 1.5 roller rockers EN40B crankARP hardware: head, rods, flywheelAluminum flywheel (fidanza flywheel) ( I also have a lightened stock flywheel)Maniflow big bore header and exhaust. It was painted about 20 years ago. No major rust, has a few chips here and there (engine compartment and under carriage could use a clean up). Lowered front springs and lowering blocks in the rear. I have lowered rear springs that I would include in the sale. Tires are about 1 year old. Panasport rims are old but in good condition, lug nuts could use replacing they are a bit tarnished.Front badge is missing, fell off a couple years back and I haven't replaced it.Tonneau cover and top. Tonneau is in good shape, the top is old (I never use it) Front windshield is fine, some pitting around the frame (could probably be cleaned up without much effort) Interior:Steering wheel and seats came from an old Cortina. Smiths reproduction motorsport classic range tach and speedo. The speedo needs calibrating. (I have the originals if you like)Seat and carpet condition is ok (I thought about replacing it at one point) Car has been in my family for 30+ years, only selling it because I rarely drive it and lost interest. Ask any questions.
