1962 Oldsmobile 88 Convertible. Has Skyrocket Super 88 engine option. 394 cu in 330 horsepower , 4 barrel Rochester. Needs some fabrication of floors and trunk and body rails. Had rust issues on frame, but entire chassis and frame were replaced from a clean rust free California Car. There is no damage or rust on frame and chassis. Has all front end work recently done ie bushings, ball joints etc to the tune of $2000. Engine runs great and has full power, transmission shifts perfectly. Has custom dual glass pack exhaust system also within the last few years. Nice clean interior. Has spare tire and original jack etc. I have owned this car since 2006 and have put only 2000 miles on it since I owned it. The convertible top works fine up and down. Radio, heater do not work. Directionals need a new collar, which I have not been able to find yet. Has extremely good tires and correct high option wheel covers for that year . New battery, new starter motor, power brakes, automatic trans . Horn and litghts work. Engine is real quiet and has extreme power. This car always gets interest when on the road and looks super, but needs work that I am unable to do. I am into this car for over $20,000, as the person who originally sold it to me through ebay was not honest and fraudulently mis represented the rust issues. Ebay booted him, but did not cover the purchase guarantee as the small print said all issues are covered but not rust. I thought that fraud and mis-representation would be covered, but I went back and forth with ebay about this and they were not able to help me. When I got it the frame and chassis was also rotted through and unsafe. I bought another 1962 Oldsmobile, California car and did the chassis/frame swap. I have enjoyed the car, but now it is time to get it finished and I am not able to make that investment. If you can do this yourself, then you know as well as I do , this car books at around $30,000 in excellent condition. Very hard to find Convertibles and even harder to find them with the high horsepower Skyrocket engine option. This car is fast even though it weighs over 4300 pounds. Call me or email. Thanks
