Vehicle Detail
Here I have my husbands Vintage 1972 Honda 750 four Motorcycle. He rode it 100 miles to and from work everyday until we moved. It has sat in the garage for the last 2 years. While cleaning out the garage last weekend, he hauled it out and said his motorcycle days were over. Maybe because he turned 50 years old a week ago. Or now that we live out in the sticks and the first year here, he hit 10 (yes, I said 10!!!) deer with his car on the way to work at 4 in the morning. Guess he figured the bike was a little too risky with his luck! There are a few scratches here and there but nothing major, especially since the bike is 39 years old. It has 32947 actual miles on it. The front headlight is missing and needs to be replaced. There is a brand new tire on the back (never seen the road) and the new one for the front is ready to be put on. I paid a hefty price for these two tires at Honda Village in Grand Rapids, MI just before he decided he was done riding bikes. Like I said, it has sat in the garage for the last two years. Prior to that, it ran very smooth without a problem. Now it may need a jump to get it going. I will try to get him out there to start it up in the next couple of days. If there are any problems, I will revise my listing. But, I do not forsee any probelms. It was always very dependable. OK...So here is the update I promised. We did find the headlight in the garage. The battery was deader than a doornail. Put it on the charger overnight, would not hold a charge. So, I went to the store yesterday and bought a BRAND NEW battery. Put it in and she fired right up. Just as I had expected. But, my husband said it may need a new throttle cable. I don't think those cost very much, but I am not putting anymore money into it.
