!! BIN Price Dropped to $17,500 !! This is pretty much my bottom dollar, so take this into consideration if you make me an offer. I would also entertain offers for the car as a roller, where I keep the engine, transmission, and engine management. Introduction I originally bought this car as a roller which was mostly gutted, planning on putting a custom 911 turbo motor in it. A Friend convinced me to convert it to a V8 and so off I went. If you are a purist who isn’t into this type of conversion, you may want to read on, as this car is loaded with many choice components that may make this car attractive to buy to convert it back to a Porsche engine, selling off the high perf GM motor. It would be very easy to convert back to “porsche power” with the only thing that needs patched is the 18x6 cutout in the nose (which could be used for an oil cooler quite nicely). I not going to insult the reader by going on about how this is the “baddest car ever built”, “labor of love”, “no expense spared”, and other such ridiculousness that other guys selling similar cars pedal. Ill just say that this is a solid car that I have regularly driven, is well sorted, professionally put together, handles great, and is incredibly quick. The specs below speak for themselves. As is typical of these sorts of customs, my minimum price is about 45 cents on the dollar invested, just add up what it would cost to buy the parts below, much less the paint and labor. I have been wrenching on 911’s for over 17 years didn’t just slap together a hodge podge of parts to get it on the road. 2/3 of the car is new or completely refurbished parts. The car plain works. I have receipts for most all parts. The reason I am selling is I have to many cars and want to focus on building my RS clone out of my coupe, so the cab has to go. With the used Porsche market where it is, even though it’s a lot of work, if I don’t hit the right price, I will just part it out as it probably more valuable as a parts car due to the choice components its built around - big brake kits are over $3000, 930 transmission routinely sell for over $3000 as well. here is your chance to get the whole package for pennys on the dollar. Please email me with questions, if you want to see specific pics or receipts, I would be glad to talk on the phone to serious buyers – If you are just looking for advice on building you own or discussing ¼ times, please respect my time, while I love to talk cars, I am a busy guy. Engine This engine is a very potent street mill, idle has some character but pulls decent vacuum (15-17 in). The solid roller cam really produces big power. Never had is dyno’d, but based on the build and performance I would put it in the mid to upper 400’s Hp. The fuel injection is well tuned, starts and idles great. Runs on 91 octane just fine. The engine has roughly less then 3200 miles on it, as I didn’t finish the car until 2009, and then have had 2 kids since, so it has spent most of the last 2 years in the garage. Specs: 383 .060 over 2 bolt (block is mid 80’s if I remember correctly) Forged eagle crank and H beam rods JE forged pistons flat top 10.4:1 CR Comp Cams 12-771-8 Xtreme Energy Camshaft Mech. Part number 77143. includes the pro ram intake, 36lb injectors, billet fuel rails and throttle body. This is really one of the better EFI systems out there. Very user friendly interface via USB, upgradeable. All of the sensors are GM so parts are easy to find. Innovative motorsports wide band O2 controller – allows for much easier mapping a tuneability All Earl’s fittings and braided hoses Msd digital 6 plus ignition with 2 stage rev control and start retard Cast aluminum valve covers with rubber gaskets MSD 10mm plug wires Mallory Optical distributor Comp roller chain Cast aluminum chain cover Billet roller rockers Comp push rods high capacity moroso steel oil pan with baffles Fiberglass plug boots High volume oil pump ARP Fasteners/main studs Copper exhaust gaskets MSD coil Low pressure oil switch and fuel cut off switch flowmaster delta 40 mufflers 996 twin tip SS exhaust tips HPC ceramic coated headers Mix of renegade and custom mounting brackets Driveline The 930 transmission is solid, shifts great. The brakes are phenomenal 86 930 transmission with stock gearing – I replaced the dogs and syncros. this is the heavy duty unit that was used in all of their 700hp factory race cars new 930 axles 18” wheels, 225 front, 295 rear Kumho ecsta zr rated tires please note, the 5 spoke wheels are not included in the auction unless you "buy it now" the chrome ones are what is included new 298mm (12") heavy duty, ventilated, rotors 930 master cylinder - this is needed to make sure the brake bias is correct 964 brake calipers - same big brakes as on the 944 turbos, 928's SS brake lines new clutch and Morse throttle cable rebuilt pedal asy with all new brass bushings and paint new Kennedy stage 2 aluminum pressure plate – stiff, but bullet proof. this is pretty much what everybody uses in high powered porsche turbo applications New sachs motorsports Kevlar clutch disc, this is the $500 one new throw out bearing Suspension Definitely on the stiff side of high performance street, phenomenal grip. Not for the faint of heart. Brand new bilstein heavy duty sport shocks 22/30 sway-a-way torsion bars - these extra stiff units are required to control the torque of this engine and prevent to much rear end squat under acceleration TRG 25mm fully adjustable sway bars All new polyurethane bushings at all pivot points - the entire suspension was rebuilt front and rear Struts were R&R’ed with new bearings and ball joints Body Overall in good condition. Not a concours car, but for sure a really nice daily driver or weekend cruiser. There are some chips about 1-2 inches long on the door edges caused by door contacting the body due to the super stiff suspension and generous engine torque. Also, the driver’s window has a series of scratches from someone operating the window without the felts. Based on a few ripples at one spot on the trunk floor and rear shock support beam, it may have been involved in a fender bender at some point. The car aligned fine and steers straight so is not impacting anything. One of the seats has a 1/2” long tear in the seat. There are the usual small dings and chips in you would expect in a daily driver. All in all its pretty nice, the paint is shiny, the doors shut tight, and there is absolutely no rust, or was there any rust. I would call it a 7/10 New PPG base/clear paint New Leather RS door cards New Polk audo separate speakers New 556W infinity amp panoramic cd head unit w/usb and ipod new windshield new bosch driving lights European H4 headlights New silverknit factory style carpet Dash is from a 993 porsche New Momo suede steering wheel Vintage recaro sport seats in black leather New leather shift boot All gauges and indicator lamps work correctly with the exception of the oil tank level – no oil tank so nothing to read. oil temp is calibrated for water temp. the speedometer is in KPH, the car cam from Canada I believe Steel flares on rear Genuine steel 930 front fenders Genuine 930 tail, rubber is still soft with no crack All of the seals except the top rail of the convertible are brand new Custom carpet in trunk Ruf front spoiler OEM Porsche roll bar, pretty rare item Stamped steel inner rocker reinforcement plates welded in (see the picture) – this is the stiffest convertible I have come across with the addition of these and the roll cage. New convertible boot included New optima red battery - just bought it 2 weeks ago Momo shift knob Rennspeed drilled aluminum floorboards Cooling System Full renegade system built by Ron Davis radiators. Works great. Can idle in traffic in the 90’s and never tops 210. sits at 180 when you are moving. Lines from the block, pump, and purge tank are all earl’s SS. Fuel system All earl’s SS plumbing front to back -6 supply, -8 return 211 LPH capacity pump mounted in stock location high capacity filter custom aluminum tank that fits in stock location, approx 18 gallons, uses stock filler and fuel gauge sender The racing dynamics wheels mentioned earlier are no longer availble. Only includes the chrome wheels pictured final notes: on some of the pictures, if you look close as some of the front end shots you may notice that I have increased the size of the radiator intake when I switched to the renegade cooling system to maximize flow, subtle change but its there. I also have an exhaust scavenge system as well as a PCV set up. I have used both anc can tell little difference. currenly the scavenge system is on the engine, but can be capped and you can use the PCV, you choice. the car has about 3200 miles on it since rebuild. The odometer reads 1329xx kilometers (82000miles) I will include the old AC system with the car as well. Cheers
