1991 Mercury Capri Convertible with 141K Miles Mechanically. It runs and drives well. It may need a tune-up, but it doesn't have to be done immediately. I feel this car could make it from NJ to Texas with no problems.The engine and transmission work fine, and the AC and all other major components function properly. Exterior. Looks good for its age. I will say above average. The paint is slightly faded in some areas, and there are some noticeable scratches, but most of them could probably be buffed out. Also, the driver's door needs a latch; because it will not open from the outside. However, that shouldn't cost much. The tires are in good condition with about 70% tread remaining. Interior. The interior is in above average to good condition for its age. The diver's seat is ripped, the driver's door pocket is missing, the passenger's window will not go down, and the rear-view mirror needs to be attached back to the window. Again, these are minors Convertible Top. The top was replaced, and still looks OK. However, the rear window was destroyed. It could be repaired without replacing the top, but it may be best to replace it. You could replace the convertible top for as low as $200--maybe less. This is a nice little car to be 22 years old, and worth putting a few dollars into. Just in time for the SUMMER! Good Luck!
