1965 Mercedes Benz 230 SL convertable cream with blue convertable top and interior. Interior fabrics including the seats have been redone, one small place has come unstiched on the drivers seat. One small bump in the chrome on the rear below trunk lid. Rest of the car is fine, never wrecked! Engine is not matching numbers as it was replaced with a 250 SL engine with about 10,000 miles less than the chassis. I had no problem with this because I bought my cars for driving, not for show. The 250 SL engine has 7 main bearings vrs the 230 with 5, and the 250 also has an external oil cooler for greater longevity. I bought this car in Pheonix Arizona and drove it home to Houston with no problems. The steering shaft needs the rag joint replaced as the steering wheel has a little play in it all due to the rag joint. This is an easy fix, all you have to do is drop the steering box, put a new ragjoint in and put the steering box back. I'm sure it could use a tune up, and for sure replace the fuel filter.Car was orignaly robin's egg blue, second owner had it resprayed with the cream it now carries. No hard top, but they are available. As you can probably tell from the pictures the car is dusty from being in storage, but will clean up nicely.
