We are selling my husbands factory 1963 Nova SS because of financial needs. The car has 184k miles and has been very well cared for. It has the original 194 straight six engine, that was rebuilt approximately 5 years ago by the previous owner. They used hardened (updated) valves so it runs on UN leaded gas. They also had the front end rebuilt at that time. The car was hit in the rear and so the bumper has been replaced along with some of the sheetmetal in the rear you can see in the inside of the trunk where the metal was welded together. The rear deck was not damaged. We just had the transmission updated to a rebuilt turbo 350 with a mild shift kit and a transmission cooler. My husband meticulously modified the linkage so that the consul and shifter fit like it was with the powerglide. This would be a great transmission if you ever choose to put in a V8. We also just had the carburetor rebuilt. My husband always wanted to V8 the car but he never had the heart to because the engine ran so well. We have a V8 oil pan and V8 motor mounts that will come with the car just in case you want to V8 it. We put in a 5 lug rear end and front hubs. They came off of a 65 Nova wagon. Originaly the car was 4 lug, we were able to find the same size wheels that are 5 lug in order to be able to use the original hubcaps and correct size tires. We repainted the car about 3 years ago to its original colors. Unfortunately it has some new rust bubbles coming through just above the rear wheel wells. We have included pictures of the rust bubbles. The interior has new carpet and door panels. The windows have new window felt and wing windows have new rubber along with new door and trunk rubber. The upholstery and headliner are original but are in very good condition. The car has new brakes and new wiper motor, the car runs and drives very well everything on the car works very well. We have kept the original radio and put in a nice sounding pioneer am/fm stereo with cd player. We put the stereo under the dash so as to keep the dash in original condition with the original radio. This is a great driver and you can take it on a trip without any qualms. We love how she rides and we just took it to the Oregon coast last month (approx 500 miles) for a little r and r , it ran great and got about 21mpg.
