Vehicle Detail
Okay, what you have here up for auction is a 1992 Toyota Landcruiser FJ-80 that has your average wear and tear. I have only had it about six months or so. I bought it and had it shipped to me from Texas to South Carolina. Well, when I got it, it was very hard to start initially. Once it cranked and warmed up it seemed to run fine. So I took it to a local shop and they determined that the glow plugs and controller needed to be replaced. I had them replace those items and it cranked fine after that. It does seem to take a while for the engine to get hot though.. Until it gets hot, there is some white smoke out of the exhaust. When it heats up, the smoke is gone. I was told this is sort of normal for diesels? When they replaced these items, they discovered that the aftermarket radiator cooling fan needed to be replaced. So I had them install dual slim line electric thermostat controlled cooling fans. I quickly got frustrated as no one around here has experience to work on a conversion and such. I got to here about "somone's looking at it now for about a month and a half" and ended up hearing "well, I wasn't able to trace all of the wiring to the glow plug control box, etc. " so I just can't deal with that!! Payed a pretty penny for it less than a year ago, and all I've done to it is listed above. It handles wonderfully down the road, and the way the conversion was done, the factory diff lock has to be engaged for it to drive. So that means, I've found out :), that it is always a four wheel drive mode, but you can disengage the front hubs by turning them and so then it is only pulling with the rear wheels, if that makes any sense. Anyways, if you want to send someone out, please do, I can meet them.. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION and the high bidder wins. I do not want to hear a mechanic say he's never seen something like this again!!! It might be fine to drive long distance, but I'd recommend having it shipped if it's a long way to be on the safe side. There is no warranty expressed or implied, I just don't have the time nor money nor patience to continue with it. any questions, call Will, 843-798-0789. Deposit due by Paypal within 24 hours of 500.00. Balance due within five days from auctions end.
