Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1976 Jeep J20 3/4 ton pick-up truck. 4X4 with manual locking hubs. It has a 5.9L 360 engine that runs extremely strong. Hydramatic automatic transmission that shifts perfectly. Full 8 foot bed. Mechanically this is a fantastic truck with very few issues. Cosmetically the exterior is in pretty good shape for it’s age. Paint still looks good. The interior is the roughest part of the truck. The seat could really used to be replaced it is in bad shape and the passenger side door panel is gone. I am the second owner of this truck and I know the original owner very well. It has always been maintained extremely well. California truck it’s entire life and has never seen road salt. Also comes with 8 spare rims and tires in various tire sizes all shown in the pictures. 1 is mounted under the truck and 7 more will go with you in the back of the truck. Quite a few of them are good tires that could go directly on the truck. If you live in California or a state that needs smog on a 1976. It passes all the emissions with flying colors but in California the do what’s called an evap test which basically is a pressure check of your fuel tank and it has a leak somewhere either in the gas filler tube or a vent line on the top of the tank. Makes no change to how the truck runs or to anything other than passing that portion of the smog. So if you need to pass a smog that has an evap test added you will need to find the air leak and might have to replace a seal or hose or something. Please see the pictures and the video. The heater doesn’t work because the heater core needs to be replaced. Here in California I just bypassed the heater core altogether because I can live without the heater pretty easily. Good news if you want to fix the heater is on these old jeeps you don’t do it from the inside like a lot of newer cars. It is a big metal box under the hood that is very accessible and I believe the heater cores are very reasonable but check for yourself if this is an issue for you. Required is a $500 deposit within 24 hours and balance paid in full within 7 days. It will need to be picked up within 14 days of auction ending. Feel free to call with any questions you have. 925-325-4744 On Jun-06-11 at 13:24:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Between my wife and I we are residents in California and in Michigan. Because of the cost of smog and all other blown up costs of the DMV in California we decided to "maybe" take the truck to our residence in Michigan. But because we haven't felt like making the trip by driving yet it is still here in California. And I assure you it has never been to Michigan with all the winter salty roads or any place like it. The truck has spent all of it's life in California. It is registered through July of 2012 with a clear title ready to be signed off to the new owner.
