Vehicle Detail

1955 Dodge Coronet Sierra 4DR. Original automatic transmission. *1953 241 V8 "Baby" Hemi (original 270 poly V8 [not running] included in sale). Runs strong, shifts well. Everything works except radio, which crackles and buzzes occasionally, and the horn. No horn, but I have two horns I will include. Horn relay in car. Fuel gauge jumps around. Mileage listed is reading on speedo, but cable was missing when I purchased the car. So it goes... California black plates I have been restoring this car for the past few years, but need garage space for other projects. It needs a few small items, but I believe most of the expensive stuff is done, depending on what you want to do with it, of course. I have way more money into it than I expect to get. So it goes... I haven't driven car regularly, and it is on California non-op. The brakes will need adjusting as the car is driven. Fresh body and paintwork - light blue is dead-on to original, but dark blue is a bit darker than stock. It's a decent paint job. Still needs final wet-sand and polish. Bed, inner rear fenders and inner tailgate also fresh painted light blue. Stainless trim is very nice. Most of the chrome is very lightly pitted, and there are a few pieces of anodized or chrome pot metal badges and gauge bezels that are quite pitted. Floors are patched - bottoms of footwells were rotted, but overall floorpan (especially around rockers) intact and sound. There is new carpet in the car, but I would suggest taking it up and putting down an insulation/sound pad over floorpan. All glass is good. NEW: Brakes, wheels cylinders, master cylinder, brake hoses, radiator, hoses, battery, speedo cable, fuel tank, water pump, thermostat - many other items I have forgotten. Rebuilt generator. Excellent tires. *The 1953 241 V8 "Baby" Hemi was originally in a boat at Lake Tahoe. I bought it from a gentleman who garaged it for many years, and was intending on putting it in his '59 Powerwagon. So it goes... Nevertheless, when I opened the motor up, it was factory-clean inside. It runs strong. Winning bidder to deposit $500 by mail within 10 days after close of auction, and make arrangements for pick-up.
