mercedes 190sl 1961 beautiful older restoration owned for many many years. It spent most of its life in Hawaii as well as here in PA. Firstly let me say the car drives beautifully having had the original solex carburetors professionally rebuilt, it starts very easily and maintains correct idle consistently. The german stayfast top is nearly new and has a perfect fit as well as the red german square weave carpet. The red leather seats are both quite nice with nice subtle leather and excellent form with no sag. Door panels are like new and a lot of the chrome and been re plated including the rear view mirror and stem, all heater housings and levers, interior light cover, door chrome moldings, both door handles, grill surround and complete grill star and barrel assembly as well as the complete bumper assemblies. It was last painted in the late eighties and has a few flat spots and perhaps a few minor blemishes but maintains a beautiful glossy finish despite the age of the paint. All new full wide white wall radial tires and a custom made tonneau cover that allows the drivers section to be zippered out while the rest of the cover remains intact. It has it's original hard top which for the pictures was simply laid on top without removing the soft top. All seals and gaskets were recently replaced in the engine bay such as hood stops and prop rod holder as well as door gaskets, windshield post seals, soft top frame seals, trunk seal, windshield gasket, conv top to windshield seal and pedal assembly gaskets. NOS chrome horn ring , chrome vented and locking gas cap and new steering wheel . The alluminum drivers foot rest mounted on the tunnel is something you don't see often as well as its original trouble shooting light, much original literature distributed by dealer when new, factory stamped service booklet and years and years of complete history of everything that was done. Complete original tool roll , rare spare tire mercedes gas can and motometer tire gauge.Nice solid undercarriage. . Nice older restoration with the high quality paint of over 20 years ago , lightly patina'd stunning leather seats, gorgeous brightwork ,several original period accessories and complete service history with all factory service manuals and booklets original to this car.
